autumn’s here

So yet another month has come and gone…..had September really 30 days this year, it seemed like less!!

The garden still put on a show during the month.

However slipping into October has brought a more autumnal look.

September brought another year!

Thank goodness for cake to soften the blow. 😉

As we both have birthdays at this time of year and as September is also our wedding anniversary month we always like to take a little trip.

This year we had a lovely long weekend in Bristol and Bath.

We had a lovely time in these two great cities.

As you can imagine there wasn’t much time for crafting this month but I did manage to finish four little creatures for my shop.

One more little girl who I have finished is Laurel…..who is a giveaway girl over on Instagram at the moment, so if you’re on IG and would like a chance of winning her, pop over there and enter.

I’m changing the way I list my animals, from now on instead of listing them in a group I’m just going to list them as they’re made and I’ll pop a post on Instagram to let everyone know when they’re in the shop.

So here we are in October and even I have to give in to it being autumn, the seasons have definitely changed!

Happy October and Happy Autumn! 🍂 🍁 🍂

bye bye july

The end of July…..well almost but if the next couple of days go by as quickly as the rest of the month, it will be August before we know it.

Not sure how I feel about August, it always seems like it’s all slipping away to the ‘not-so-nice’ bit of the year!

Anyhow I don’t want to dwell too much on that yet!

My garden is full of blooms!!

There have been lots of days out during July….. to gardens…..

and parks…..

alongside canals…..

and to a walled garden…….

to days on the beach……

and misty mountain walks!

Actually the misty mountain walk turned into a downpour and we were soaked to the skin…..and I mean the skin!!

However the weather has mostly been good and we have had some lovely adventures.

There has been some making for my girl during the month too…..a new throw for her room and another little cardigan.

And of course there has been a bit of creature crocheting too!

All these girls will be in my shop this evening at 8pm (BST).

So sadly it’s bye bye July…..you have been lovely!

Thanks as always for taking the time to stop by and read my blog…wishing you all a wonderful August!! 🙂

where did june go to

Well June disappeared very quickly…….didn’t it!

Gone in a flash and July already.

The garden is doing it’s own thing, it’s the time of year where you can mostly just sit back and enjoy it.

And it’s not just enjoying the flowers at the moment either as the strawberries are coming thick and fast.

Home grown, organic, no air miles….and sweet as honey.

We took ourselves off for a little holiday at the beginning of the month as well…to the very beautiful south of France, we had a wonderful time as we always do in this lovely part of the world.

There has been some crafting during June too, with two cardies for my girl!

And of course some little animals too.

This is Provence inspired by my holiday.

Rosette celebrating all the beautiful roses in bloom at the moment.

A little nautical fox called Flare with her own seagull!!

And finally Hollyhocks, unfortunately my own hollyhocks aren’t in bloom yet unlike those on Hollyhocks the hare’s dress.

I will be listing all these girls in my Etsy shop on Wednesday 5th July at 7pm (BST).

So here we are in July, wishing you all a wonderful one.

Thank as always for dropping by!
