hello 2017

Happy New Year everyone!!

I actually can’t believe how quickly 2016 flew by!

The above image is a collection of all my monthly collages on Instagram, as I said over on IG it was a year of ‘B’s”….blooms, bunnies, bears and a baby.

There were quite a few animals during 2016……61 in total all living in various places across the globe. A big thank you to everyone who gave one a home.

Of course without a doubt the highlight of 2016 was the birth of our granddaughter Amelie, words can’t express the joy she has brought to our lives.

And so on to 2017….I do love a bright shiny new year, I hope its a good one for us all.

I just love the words on the front of my new diary!

So with my best wishes for 2017, I’ll leave you with this hopeful image of little tete-a-tete daffodils on my dresser……….it’s pre-spring now you know!!!! 🙂

late autumn days

November started off with lovely bright blue skies.

It does seems to be disappearing just as speedily as all the other months of this year though.

There were days when the garden looked like it was the middle of summer.

There have been a few frosts though and as a result most flowers have definitely finished for this year….however there are, unbelievably, still some roses.

I’m still knitting for the little person in my life, frosty days required little mittens……

……another little hat!

And some recent happy mail brought yarn for a mini Christmas jumper which is a queue behind a cardie to match the above hat and a Christmas pudding hat!!

I also have finished up some festive animals.

This is Fallow my first ever fawn, who is happily wearing a faux fur collar to keep her warm.

This little arctic fox with a flurry of snowflakes has of course been named Flurry.

Marzipan is sweet toothed, sugar loving Christmas mouse.

And the final girl with all her sparkly stars is Twinkle.

All these girls will be listed in my Etsy shop on Wednesday 16th November at 9pm (GMT), more info about them can be found here.

My Hb and I have a little trip coming up, somewhere we have never been before….Rome, so we’re looking forward to that.

Thanks as always for visiting and for taking the time to leave your lovely comments, I do appreciate it, ‘see’ you soon! 🙂

september already

I truly find it hard to believe that it’s September already, maybe its because I’m still waiting for the rest of summer to arrive!!

August in this part of the UK was still quite damp but the flowers did keep blooming, all except the sweetpeas that is and I’m happy to report my tomatoes are now ripening.

A little quiet spot to sit when the sun did shine.

And a little home grown posy.

Trips out over the past couple of weeks included a day to the seaside for my Hb’s birthday….it looked almost Meditteranean (almost)!

And a visit to the beautiful Ballyrobert Cottage Garden.

This is how I would love my garden to look.

We also paid a visit to the fantastic Ulster Folk & Transport Museum.

So much lovely vintage there.

All in all not a bad end to August despite the rain…you’d think we’d be used to it by now!!

So here we are in September (still summer according to the GRD calendar), the month when I become another year older and we celebrate 35 years of marriage!!

Helia Collage

I’ll just you leave with the next batch of animals!

This is Helia, her name means ‘of the sun’ and she certainly brings her own sunshine with her.

Next is Anthea and her name means ‘flowery’.

Zinnia Collage

Zinnia is a celebration of those beautiful flowers that I cannot get to grow in my garden as the slugs and snails eat them all.

And finally this little mouse in her mossy green outfit is of course…. Moss.

All these girls will be listed in my Etsy shop on Tuesday 6th September at 9pm (BST).

More information about my animals can be found here.

And finally, finally, just before I go I would like to thank the lovely Micheline for nominating me for the ‘One Lovely Blog Award’, thank you so much Micheline, you’re very kind.

Have a great September folks!
