We have had the most horrendous rain showers today! They lasted all morning right through to late afternoon.
Summertime!!!!!
So it’s been all umbrellas and coats even though it’s way too warm to wear a coat.
The poor plants don’t know whether to be grateful or not. On the one hand they’re getting the water they need but the rain is ever so hard on their petals. At least I don’t have to take the watering can out tonight.
Anyhow the rain has stopped now and there are plenty of pretty little droplets here and there on the flowers and leaves.
However photogenic these little droplets are I do hope we don’t have anymore tomorrow, we’ve had our fair share of rain today to last us for a while!
Have a lovely (dry) weekend!! 🙂

You take the most beautiful pictures, Vivienne! These are just precious. I am also a bit jealous of the rain (!!!even you said it was too much) as we´ve had NONE for almost three weeks now, huh. Today it was supposed to be raining heavily but NOT A DROP has shown yet. It´s a bit cooler though.
Have a wonderful and dry weekend, my (temporarily anonymous) friend, I´ll take that rain, thankyouverymuch 🙂
Yours,
Mia
Thank you Mia, you’re very welcome to the rain. I really don’t like it! 🙁
Perhaps it will blow over your direction.
Have a lovely weekend and maybe I won’t be anonymous next week !!! 🙂

Love your photographs especially the way the light captured the raindrops. BEAUTIFUL!
Thanks for your comment Dani and for ‘dropping in’ !! 🙂

Photos are stunning! We have not had a heavy downpour yet, though I think one is due 🙂 xxx
Hi Melanie,
I hope we’re not going to get anymore rain for a while! I really don’t do rain!
Enjoy your weekend. 🙂

The summary of this summer in Sweden is different to any summer I can remember – it has been SO sunny and warm (not something we´re spoiled with in this country)!
The last week however, has surprised us with rain like no other. Our capital Stockholm was totally flooded the other day, in my town we´ve been doing alright though so I´ve just enjoying not having to water the garden for a couple of days.
Funny thing; weather. You never know what to expect! 😀
Hi Tina
Here in Northern Ireland the rain is never far away no matter what time of year it is!!
Vivienne 🙂
Hi Vivienne, I have decided, (after visiting the family in Derbyshire this last weekend …. in the rain,) that I quite like living down in Oxfordshire where the sun shines :0) Sorry to be so smug!!
But you do take advantage of a good photo situation, they are quite stunning.
Happy 20 Minutering this week :0)
Val xx
Very wise Val, stay where the sun is shining !! 🙂
I’ve just put my knitting down, did way more than my 20 minutes today!!

Hi there Vivenne,
What a beautiful blog- thanks so much for finding me. I shall come back and spend some time looking at your postings – I can see you have a great talent.
I am quite jealous of the rain, here in the south east we have really had nothing for the last month and my poor lawm is gasping.
I will enjoy following your blog,
Take care,
Jane x
Hi Jane
Thanks for ‘visiting’, lovely to have you here!
Oh enjoy your sunshine believe me once the rain starts it usually forgets to stop!! I really don’t mind using the watering can and hose!!
Looking forward to ‘seeing’ you again! 🙂

Love how you captured the rain just beading up like that! Beautiful
Thanks Amanda! 🙂
However I’ve had enough rain for now, I would just like a little more sunshine before the summer disappears altogether!!

The droplets are a reminder of God’s handiwork. …like putting a diamond on each of the pieces he made..
Great picts and I like the little purse also …so so cute.
Lovely Barbara, thanks! 🙂
