Busy bees are quite difficult to photograph, they aren’t very good at staying still and posing, I have only managed to get a few photos on our travels during the month and in my own garden.
This little bee however was much easier to photograph, this is Melissa, her name comes from the Greek and means ‘bee’.
Since I started making my bunnies I’ve realised that over the past four years, I’ve made a ‘bee girl’ each year!
“If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe, then man would have only four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man.” Albert Einstein
Whether Mr Einstein was right or wrong and I must agree it does all sound very logical to me, we have to look after our bees!
Thanks as always for dropping by, have a wonderful weekend. 🙂

I’ve s great admiration for Mr Einstein , a great fellow . I can never understand those who don’t realise the importance of bees to all of us. Mice in the other hand I could live without
Hi “V” great shot of that bee in photo #1! Loving all your bees and especially Miss Melissa! Yes, Albert Einstein was one smart man!!!

Yes, we must take care of our bees. Your photos are lovely. Love Melissa and bunnies. x
Dear Vivienne, Melissa is so beeeautiful 😉 I love her dress! Congratulations on yet another gorgeous bunny! Love Julia xx
Being a ‘Bee’ of sorts myself, I’m rather fond of them and you’ve captured some great shots here! Our lavender has been going great guns over the last few weeks and is covered with bees every day. I was going to cut and dry some this year, but I can’t bear to! Him indoors did manage to get a nice shot of one of ours (see, they’ve become pets – LOL!) earlier this week: https://flic.kr/p/v7qr2F xxx
The bee shots are gorgeous and honey-colored Melissa is indeed very sweet 🙂 I agree – we must protect the bees.

I love the thought Melissa bunny brings Vivienne. Everyone knows the bee cannot possibly fly…..except the bee itself as it buzzes by!! The buttons are always so perfect for every bunny girl you make. Love & Blessing. Elizabeth x x
Bunnies and bees….two things I love too! Melissa is adorable, love her printed skirt fabric and little button. Yes, we must take care of the bees!
Happy weekend, dear Vivienne.

I love bees and I think they’re a great theme for your bunnies. It’s hard to photograph real bees, but I think you did really well. Your bunnies look lovely too.
