I hope if you’re reading this, you like flowers because this blog post is full of them!
I adore them and it’s great being able to spend time out in the garden enjoying them.
The weather here today is lovely and the forecast is looking good for the week ahead, so lots more garden time to come. π
The sweetpeas are just beginning to come out so looking forward to having vases of them in the house during the summer.
The summer bedding has all been planted in the various pots, planters, window boxes and beds.
We’ve got geraniums, bizzy lizzies, marigolds, lobeilia, allysum, begonias, salvia, verbena, petunias and pansies.
We’ve also got a variety of daisies which I really love! π
The azalea is in bloom at the moment, it’s a shame it lasts such a short time.
Then there are the lupins!
Boy, do I love the lupins!!
Some blooms in the greenhouse too.
This little cactus lives in the greenhouse and it seems to like that very much because for the past two years it has produced flowers something it never did when it lived in the house.
The greenhouse must be closer to its natural conditions.
Last year it produced one flower but this year it produced two.
The really sad thing is that the flowers only last for one day and then they die.
Such a shame as they are so beautiful!
There are also some flowers of the crochet variety too!!
Crocheted in lots of bright summer colours.
These little flowers have already been picked and set off to Ballydougan Pottery.
Wherever you are I hope you’re enjoying some flowers too, everyone should !! π

Hello, just trying to catch up with some bloggy friends. I love your window photos from your holiday. Very inspirational, I love the one with the patchwork quilt hanging out to air.
Hi Fi,
Thanks for dropping in! I had great fun with the holiday photos, so many pretty windows. π

Those Lupins are so superb they almost look plastic! Aren’t they beautiful! I LOVE Sweet Peas, just love ’em, but this year I don’t have any in my garden, I’m all out of tune with the garden at the moment. I can smell your Sweet Peas though, they’re sublime!
Love Vanessa xxx
Thanks Vanessa, I’m really looking forward to bunches and bunches of sweetpeas!! π

I love gardening and flowers are so wonderful! Your pictures melt my heart. It gets so hot here in the summer, which has already started, that it is hard to keep the flowers, but I try! Thanks for sharing!
You’re welcome Linda, thanks for your comment! π

Love the lupins, fantastic pictures. For some reason mine haven’t grown, not helped by a plastic lobster being hurled at some of them I guess, by someone mowing the lawn (hmm).

Haha, sorry Lisa, it’s just the image of a plastic lobster!! π
Have a good weekend!

Love all the flowers! Both the scented and the crocheted ones! Your strawberry bag looks intriguing. Can’t wait for the finished picture. And how are the circles going? have you many squares yet? Thanks for visiting alisonb2. It’s good to make friends. Take care.
Hi Alison,
Well I’m afraid the strawberry bag and the circles are still very much WIPs!!! I’m not being very good at finishing things at the minute but very good at starting new projects! I’ve just started Dottie Angel’s blanket that she blogged about recently, so that’s getting my attention at the mo. I’m going to have to be firm with myself! π
Thanks for popping in!

I have heard from my sister -in-law that the bees are in decline where she lives as well, but I have so many bees in my yard. I love them! I have big carpenter bees as well and lots of butterflies. I love your yard! It’s wonderful!
Thank you Linda, I do enjoy my garden!

Vivienne, your pictures are divine! I love flowers they really cheer me up. As you know we recently moved into a new build house and so our garden leaves a lot to be desired!! Its currently waiting for the building co. to come and sort it out, its a hill of mud. Unfortunately its a tiny garden with a steep elevation that is planned to have a rockery on it. I’ll post some pics next year when we’ve got it looking good! Justine xx
Thanks Justine,
You’ll get there with the garden it just takes time. Each year you add a bit more and over time it just develops!
Have a good weekend. π
