Why Fruit Salad corsages? Well it’s just that they remind me so much of Fruit Salad chews. They’re the bright pink and orange colours of the raspberry and pineapple chews! I don’t eat Fruit Salad chews any more being vegetarian as they contain beef gelatine which is of course a no-no for vegetarians. Shame they have to put gelatine in chews, there’s bound to be something else they can use instead other than boiled up animal bits!!!
You’ll notice my little posy in the photos also in Fruit Salad colours. Sadly that’s the last of my sweet pea! π Bit by bit the summer flowers are coming to an end.
Anyhow I hope you like my little Fruit Salad corsages, they’re a little bit of brightness on increasingly less bright days!
There’s bound to be an alternative to beef gelatine, come on Fruit Salad people think of the vegetarians!!!!

Soooooooooo, smitten with your fruit salad. Vivienne! So beautiful the colors. They remind me of summer still liking my heart with sunshine. A bit of summer feeling still lingers. Thank you.
Hugs, Dani
Thanks Dani
Yes it’s nice to hang on to some sunshine even if it is of the yarny kind! π

Lovely! What is the yarn – it is very pretty. Like you my sweet peas and marigolds are rapidly coming to an end. Re the Fruit chews – you are right about the colours and just think of the sugar and other suspect ingredients you are avoiding now you can’t eat them. There must be something you might like instead – hop[e so!
Hi Jane
The yarn is Gedifra Fiorista Fino!
Do you know I never ever thought about Fruit Salads until I made these corsages and they reminded me of them.
I’m quite parial to a Starburst and they’re suitable for vegetarians!!
Have a lovely week. π

Definately fruit salads Vivienne but I think a there is a touch of refreshers and even the sherbert lollies which changed colours as you sucked them….gosh how those old sweets must have rotted childrens’ teeth-LOL. Thankfully mine survived..just!

Oh how lovely and bright are those! and lucky you with the sweet peas, mine got really bad powdery mildew ages ago and had to be pulled out. Shame they are coming to an end though, our garden is also loosing it’s brighter colours.

I know Beth I always think it’s sad when the summer flowers come to an end but I’ve been compensating by planting pansies, violas and cylamen!

Yes I tend to be a bit mean when I’m on my vegetarian soapbox, sorry! It’s all true though!
At least crochet is suitable for vegetarians, thank goodness. π

I think they’re lovely, and the buttons remind me of love hearts. Remember those? No gelatin in them, I shouldn’t think!
That’s right Penny, I can eat Love Hearts! Might have to get some, now you mention it! π
