Home flowers garden friends

DSCN9812

There have been lots of little friends visiting my garden lately, all doing their bit to keep it going.

The only problem is the cats who think that these insects are there purely for their enjoyment, I’m afraid the cats haven’t been my garden friends recently at all, as I seem to spend most of my time shouting at them to leave the poor little creatures alone! I have witnessed them being stung a couple of times, unfortunately they don’t seem to learn from this.

Anyhow I have managed to capture a few of my garden friends to share with you!

They all love my purple buddleia, unfortunately though I have had to cut off all the bottom branches to give the insects a fighting chance. There are cats flying through the air all the time! As you can tell there is an on going battle in my garden at the moment!

The garden gives me a lot of pleasure though and a lot of inspiration too.

Summer Collage

My new little lady is completely inspired by my garden and summer and is why she has been named ‘Summer’, she has lots of little bees on her skirt and cardie!

Hope you’re all still enjoying summer too.

Thanks as always for dropping by and all your lovely comments.

Right I’m off out to patrol the garden again!

Happy new week! 🙂

The photos are stunning Vivienne. The kitties are naughty but it must be so tempting for them. Gizmo (un)fortunately attacks me more than anything else in the garden!!! Summer is a lovely bunny with her ‘bee theme’. x

I know the cat vs butterfly battle Vivienne but most of the time Billy can’t be bothered ;0) What lovely photos, do you think we have had more bees this year? I have had so many, which is great and they are really big bumble bees. Your newest bunny Summer just sums up this great weather, what a super bee button on her cardie. Enjoy the garden and have a lovely week my dear , Jxx

Wonderful post, Vivienne,

And perfect pictures, just gorgeous! I have only seen a few butterflies and some rather busy bees, but your selection is fantastic, thank you for sharing! And Summer is such pretty girl too, love the bee-dress!

Have a lovely new week!

Yours,
Muia

Happy Monday to you, Vivienne, and also to pretty little Miss Summer Bunny.
You’ve taken some beautiful photos, I especially love the first butterfly – is it a Painted Lady?
Pusskins was chasing something round our living the other night, then started to climb up the bookcase, all in pursuit of a moth. I managed to capture and rescue said moth, but only after much tiptoeing and teetering on chairs in order to reach it. xx

I think they are all quite beautiful, but I have to admit, I am scared to death of bees. love Carol

Lovely nature photos, the white butterfly against the blue sky is especially stunning! Summer is a very pretty little bunny and I love her name.
Hope you have a lovely week, and good luck with those naughty kitties!

Such beautiful butterflies in your garden Vivienne. There seem to be less in ours, although I planted lots of flowers they love. Hope next year will be better. It may be due to the cold winter. I am not sure…..

Have a lovely evening!

Beautiful photographs Vivienne capturing your lovely garden so perfectly…Your tale of your little cats and the butterflies has reminded me of a Tom Kitten illustration I seem to remember!

They’re lovely Vivienne, I’ve noticed lots of butterflies in the past week although most are the cabbage whites and I think they have been at the few pot herbs and beans I’m growing! Grrr! x

What great shots. Airshows are so exciting, I went to Farnborough and Middle Wallop some years ago and loved all the noise! xx
