Firstly can I say that these photos were taken yesterday as the promised good weather seems to have passed us by today. When they said the Jet Stream was moving and the result would be better weather they obviously didn’t mean the northern parts of the UK. I actually prefered our weather when the Jet Stream was further down!
The forecast for us this week is poor, so sorry all southerners but I wish the Jet Stream would go back to where it came from!
Yesterday allowed some garden time although it wasn’t very sunny, at least it was dry.
I just find it all very frustrating, as it’s July and I should be outside!!
This is how things looked outside in the garden this morning!! I only took this one photo as I was getting soaked!
So as I can’t get out I’m turning circles into squares into a blanket.
I’ll leave you with one of my favourite little flowers………..
Lily! 🙂
Have a good week all, hope the Jet Stream is being kind to you!

When I saw the weather forecast last night I thought of you! Sorry you are not having the sunshine like us and hope the Jet Stream will continue north and not return to where it was as we were all in danger of getting webbed feet here!
Love your pretty photos especially the hydrangea and Lily!!
Your hydrangea pic is absolutely stunning Vivienne. Love the one with the raindrops also.
So sorry to hear the sun has passed you by but it looks as though you are making the most of your time indoors as your crochet blanket is gorgeous.
Stunning photo’s Vivienne! Especially love that buddleia. And at least we’ve had dry for three days now – even real warmth on a couple of them too! Doesn’t take much to make us happy – dry, warm. Not too much to ask for the summer is it?

Aww… Your Lily reminds me of my Daisy Mae. I miss her so much. At least it looks like all the weather has been good for your flowers!
Oh, Vivienne; look at Lily! She is adorable! Sigh. I love cats. Fortunately I adore my endearing puppy too 🙂
Isn’t that blue hydrangea perfectly dreamy? I am so sorry to read about the rainy weather you are enduring. Perhaps I shouldn’t be telling you this BUT we are having real summer weather at long last. I am keeping my fingers crossed this good spell will cross the sea to your part of the world.

All those pretty flowers and a cute kitty, but my principal thought on reading this post was that all those crochet circles look absolutely perfect. I *need* to get to grips with this darn crochet lark, so I suppose I’d better try harder!
Hope the sun came out for you Vivienne, it has here 😀
Vivienne, thank you from the bottom of my heart for purchasing one of my hares. I am so very, very glad Mademoiselle Bloom is going to be with you.
I am so touched.
Stephanie
ps I cannot believe I have sold three already…
Oh Vivienne I did chuckle as I have only just read your post as I launched mine…yes summer arrived here in the south and it’s been blazing here!! I have just seen the Olympic flame…SOOOO good and the weather made it. Sorry the weather is pants you end but can we hang on to this until after Saturday please ;0)
Loved you dear Lily,
Jane x

Lily is such a lovely little flower! I hope you get some sunshine soon Vivienne. It seems that summer has arrived this week in the South but I guess it will have gone by the weekend!!! x
HI vivienne, So sorry you haven’t had good weather, although your flowers are quite pretty!!! Love the crocheting, it is going to be quite the blanket!! Love to Lily and you, xoRobin❤
This is my first visit to your blog and really enjoyed reading it. I too have been dogging the rain clouds for the last fortnight. I did however manage to get out and sort the herbs out this weekend my muscles tells me I worked very hard.
Hi Vivienne, what a difference a few days have made to us all. It has been very hot here the last 2 days (80’s) and tomorrow also. I don’t think I’ve been as hot and stuffy for a couple of years but I’ll not complain. Your flowers are looking very nice with the mild wet conditions. Hope it picks up a bit for you, happy crocheting! x
One good thing comes from rain – I nice well watered garden :). Hope the weather is being kinder. Love the circles into squares blanket – Can’t wait to see it finished!
Lovely pictures, Vivienne, and you could have fooled me with a “hooray, it’s summer again” sort of title too! I am so sorry it’s not shining at yours, here we had a lovely day but now it’s pouring again…But better should be coming (heard that before?) and I am sending it to you also!
Happy week!
Yours,
Mia
What beautiful photographs. When I first looked I thought you must be in a tropical paradise somewhere, but see you are closer to home.
I’m not suprised that you are drawn to those colours…they are so pretty :o)
have a happy and hooky weekend!
