Hi everyone, just dropping in to share a little idea I had over the weekend.
Granny square brooches!!!
I’m not saying they are an original idea but they are new to me.
They are crocheted in a cotton/linen mix yarn and I’ve added a cute little flower button to the centre.
There are four different designs and are in my shop now.
Hope your week has got off to a great start!
Happy Monday! 🙂

What a lovely new design Vivienne and they look so “springly” on that line in the garden. The flower button finishes them off perfectly. It has been such a lovely afternoon, I managed a cup of tea in the garden when I got in from work. Your greenhouse should be rocking! Have a great week,

Great idea – I made some tiny granny squares as tree decorations at Christmas too – good old granny eh?!
How cute are they!!! Lovely idea Vivienne 😀
Vivienne, Those squares are so sweet. I love the design. I think they will fly out of your shop!! The color combos are great.

Love your new line Vivienne. Those little squares are so cute and the button centre is just perfect.
I think these would look great pinned to a canvas bag a la Cath Kidston.
They look gorgeous – great as brooches, but also lovely as mini bunting in your garden! Great colours as always Vivienne.

These are so sweet Vivienne, they would look lovely on the lapel of a tweed jacket. And don’t they look fab on your plant, bit like decorations or fairy lights. Ages ago I started granny squares for a hippy waistcoat for myself but you guessed it, only got halfway there before I got bored with it! sally x
Hi Vivienne – loving your new brooches :0) The little flower buttons in the centre are really fun – I don’t think I’ve seen that style before.
Violet and I have had a ‘making’ afternoon today. We’ve finished sewing some felt ‘Happy Birthday’ bunting (for Violet’s big day this coming Sunday), we’ve also been adding some ‘bling’ to a ballet outfit, trying to turn it into a tightrope walker’s costume (for Violet’s Circus themed party). I’ve just got to make a start on recovering 8 seat covers for Nursery – the things we get talked into/volunteered for!
Hope all is well with you and you’ve been enjoying this fabulous Spring weather.
