Home animals Grey

Everything is a bit grey around here today but in a good way! Even the sky is grey but as it is still so very mild I really don’t mind, so long as the blue sky doesn’t stay away for too long!

The yarns are grey!

The fabrics are grey!

And the knitting is grey!

Now as we know black and white make grey, so it really is a wonder that this lot don’t turn grey they’re so mixed up……….

RJ at the back, Jessie on the right, Charlie in the middle and Polly at the front! πŸ™‚

Just to prove it’s not all grey around here today I do have a pretty little potted gerbera on my table to add a little bit of colour.

Well the weekend is almost upon us again, where time goes to is a mystery to me. This weekend I’ll be able to shop for the first time in a Cath Kidston shop without going to the mainland or shopping on-line as she is opening her first shop in N.I. today in Belfast.
The new shop is just across the street from Avoca, almost next door to Paperchase, down the street a little from Whitestuff and around the corner from Accessorize (can you tell my favourite shops here), so happy days!!
If you’re free on Saturday afternoon you’re very welcome to come shopping with me!!

Happy weekend! πŸ™‚

I love Cath Kidston β™₯ No store here I’m afraid. Have fun shopping and I love all the greys. Sometimes grey days are good with a cup of tea and some knitting πŸ™‚

I love your colour coordinated post Vivienne! You have also listed some of my favourite UK shops too… I have very happy memories of Avoca in Dublin.

Have a happy time in CK and perhaps you could show us what you purchased? πŸ˜‰

I love all those greys Vivienne, I actually think grey is a very interesting colour as there are so many variations. The pile of kitties of course are quite wonderful, they all look so healthy. Fantastic that you have CK opening. I am spoilt rotten as mine is in Wimbledon (no more than 15 mins away in the car)and funnily enough we are popping in there on Saturday. Don’t spend too much ;0). I hope you have a wonderful weekend my friend, it has indeed turned so much milder.

Every time you post a picture of those little kitties my heart melts, they are just so adorable! Grey is an interesting colour, I do wear grey sometimes but thinking about it, I don’t tend to have anything else grey at all – I don’t even have any grey fabrics I don’t think (and I have a lot of fabric!) Hope you have a fun shopping trip, I love a little mooch around CK πŸ™‚ Jenny xx

Whatever the weather on Saturday, I can just see you hop skipping and jumping around your favourite shops …. Eric Morecambe style!
I do like your grey pictures though, and I wonder what that grey wool will become? As you say Vivienne, black and white do make grey ….. so from my black and white friend and me …… have a WONDERFUL weekend!

The skies have been pretty grey around here too… and my new knitting wip is grey (well, silver). Have a great weekend – try not to spend too much at CK!

I’m very partial to a little grey Vivienne…….today we were lucky to have blue skies with the odd ray of sunshine………we don’t have a CK in our little town but we have a couple of independent shops which stock quite a bit of her lovely things.

Have a lovely weekend, lily x

Grey is my favourite colour! Apparently that’s quite unusual, but there you go, it is, in all its shades and glory, so needless to say I loved this post πŸ˜€

Hi Vivienne, my what a great batch of wool and fabric, I just love all those shades and patterns, grey but fabulous!
The kitties look content.
Wish I could come shopping but I think I’m doing designs at the weekend. All the shops you mention are favourites of mine too, I reckon you could seriously burn a hole in your wallet but we need a bit of retail therapy now and again so have a great time! x

I am quite fond of grey especially if it is offset with a little colour! I love that bundle of kitties. I have not had a good day out shopping for years and your shops seem like my kind of shops too. If only I lived nearer I would take you up on the offer of shopping with you! x

Lovely grays, Vivienne! This proves once again that gray (grey) is a pretty color, with many shades and not at all dull or boring…But paired with rain it’s not that wonderful πŸ™‚

I would have loved to shop with in CK but now I am just waiting to see what you scored!

Happy weekend!

Yours,
Mia
