Home beads & buttons Hearts & Valentines

Happy Valentines Day everyone!!

I hope you all received lots of nice treats today!

I’m afraid I’m not the world’s most romantic person. I did send my other half a Valentine card but it wasn’t of the romantic kind, it was a funny one but that’s just me!

However although I’m not romantically inclined I do love hearts and I do have quite a little collection of heart buttons and fabrics. I even managed to crochet a little heart too, not bad for an unromantic!!

There seemed to be hearts everywhere this weekend, even on my walk in the park I found some. Ivy produces some lovely hearts.

Even the puddles were heart-shaped! 🙂

One thing that I really like about Valentines Day is the sweeties. Chocolate hearts and Love Hearts, I really love Love Hearts!!

Even Love Hearts aren’t as romantic as they used to be, they still say things like ‘Be Mine’ but they now also say ‘Text Me’! That doesn’t quite have the same romantic sentiment but thankfully they still taste good and that’s the important bit!

Of course I couldn’t let Valentines Day go by without some bunnies, kissing bunnies for today. No matter which way you turn them they spin around to each other again! Ahhhhhhhh!

Have a wonderful Valentines Day however you choose to spend it whether romantically or not or just eating sweets!!! 🙂

Love your kissing bunnies and little crochet heart, and of course I love all things love hearts too (you may have noticed)… we had our Valentine’s at the weekend, so am feeling suitably stuffed with chocolate now! Enjoy your day xxx p.s I know what you mean about ‘modern’ lovehearts – ’email me’ just doesn’t have the same ring to it!

I’ve been totally rubbish this Valentine’s Day – perhaps I should pop out and buy the ingredients to bake ‘my beloved’ a chocolate cake).
Those chocolate hearts look rather scrummy – though I think maybe I’ve overdone the chocolate. I’ve managed to get through 3 bags of Mini Eggs – oink oink!!!!
Love your little crochet heart.
Happy Valentine’s Day Vivienne. x

So many lovely hearts – but my favourite has to be the hanging crochet heart.

So many hearts – is this a good omen for more love and less war do you think?! Loved the puddle one. Didn’t know you could still get Love Hearts – that’s a trip down memory lane!

Happy Valentine’s Viv!

Here in Finland today is called “Day of friendship” so it’s not that romantic (it can be!) more sort of “have a cake with your nearest and dearest” -sort of day! I got a heart-shaped box of chocolates still though 🙂

I loved your pictures, and they seemed quite romantic to me too, the bunnies were adorable!

Yours,
Mia

I’m with you in that we don’t really do Valentines (M is always away as there’s an annual Mobile conference thing on in Barcelona, it happens every year) but I do like heart shapes as well. Happy V’s Day anyway 😉 Bethx

Hi Vivienne, I love hearts too and use them a lot in my jewellery and card making. I can also remember the old love heart sweets….you used to try to ensure the one you picked was the most romantic message..LOL. I hope you had a lovely day surrounded by lots of love,

I love the hearts found in nature, they’re brilliant! My partner isn’t a romantic soul but I am, we made a pact to eat lots of lovely food and spend the evening together, that worked. I love your little heart buttons, so very sweet.
