Home colour in search of colour

I’m in search of colour today!! Why, you ask………

because this is what the weather is like here today!!!!

So I took my camera for a walk around the house and into the garden and greenhouse to find some colour to share with you!

Even my new Valentine girl is a colourful one, normally I personally prefer the earthy coloured bunnies but that bright pop of yellow is just the ticket for this dull and grey day! Her name is Carys by the way, from the Welsh for love.

Just before I go I would like to thank the lovely Susana from the blog La Ventura Azul for awarding me the ‘One Lovely Blog Award’, thanks Susana, you’re very kind!

So it’s a bit of a dismal day here I’m afraid, I hope it’s brighter where you are, thanks for visiting!

Happy Tuesday! 🙂

Oh you poor thing Vivienne, I will send some of our sunshine over today. Just for a change it’s been beautiful here for the last 2 days. Your photos are yummy, really gorgeous colours and Carys is another sweet bunny in her pretty little dress. Keep dry and enjoy the evening …try some chocolate too ;0) xx

Carys is such cheerful little bunny, i do love her frock and cardi!
I think we have your weather coming our way tomorrow, but we have been blessed with sunshine today once the early morning fog cleared – it does make you feel better to see the sun.

It is amazing how colour can change a mood isn’t it? Cary’s is so sweet. I like how the blue in the dress is picked out in the blue of the cardigan. You have an eye for colour matching Vivienne! x

I think the Lovely Blog award is well deserved, I always enjoy popping in for a visit. I love the colours of yarn in the skeins you have shown a photo of – can I ask what type of yarn it is Vivienne. The reason for asking is that recently I have tried quite a few new yarns and not found one that I would use again. Those skeins look so pretty – they very much appealed to me.

Susan January 22, 2014 - 7:28 pm

Despite the weather you have found lots of beautiful colour in your corner Vivienne!
Carys is just gorgeous and she’s making me dream of those spring days to come …it won’t be too long and the days are slowly getting longer!
Happy Wednesday!

Congratulations Vivienne on being a winner. Colours are beautiful. Lovely Carys bunny. Good to see as flowers here have faded because of heat over 40c for a few days, cooler now. Have a good week end. Elizabeth x x

Jill January 24, 2014 - 9:18 am

Is that a Primula, Vivienne? Whatever flower it is, the colours are beautiful:0)
It’s very dull, dismal and damp here – so thank you for sharing all those wonderful colours. Citrus colours have really grown on me, especially yellow. It’s such a happy colour.
Carys is so pretty. I love her flowery dress.
Wishing you a happy Friday xxxx
