Well I have to be honest July has been a bit of a wash out and my poor garden has spent quite a bit of it drenched.
It’s not been great for the roses or poppies, they just can’t cope with that much rain and I have a greenhouse full of green tomatoes as there hasn’t been enough sun to ripen them, they are only now beginning to turn!
During the past two years July has been a lovely month here and August has been the wet month, I’m hoping this year after all the rain that August will behave itself!!
So I’m sharing some images of my garden that I’ve taken throughout the month on the drier days when I could get out there.
Thanks as always for visiting.
Happy weekend & happy August, fingers crossed for a dry and sunny one with lots more gardening time! 🙂

Oh you have a cherry tree that has fruit ! Our first had two cherry trees and only fruited the year we left , 15 years ago
IT might have been a wash out but your garden still has some beautiful blooms.
Your flowers are gorgeous despite the rain! I have heard that August is going to be a scorcher!!! x
A garden full of wonderful flowers Vivenne so pretty. I hope you get an August with wall to wall sunshine. Summer is certainly back here sending warm thoughts your way. Have a lovely weekend my dear friend xx
It has been very up and down hasn’t it! I wonder if putting a ripe banana near the tomatoes will help them ripen. It’s still early, so I wouldn’t worry yet.
Lovely photos. …August can only be better…..can’t it!
We have had the coldest winter for 20 years August should be better for us all. Flowers are beautiful Vivienne brightened my day. Love & Blessings. Elizabeth x
You have grown a lot of beautiful flowers despite the mixed weather, Vivienne! It has begun to rain here (cats and dogs type!) after a sunny start to the day…….it can only get better for the rest of August 🙂
Wishing you a happy weekend.

You have some beautiful flowers in your garden, despite the best efforts of the weather to spoil things. I hope you have a brighter, warmer weekend and a sunny August. Jane xx
Hi “V” your flowers are gorgeous and so plentiful, love your variety! Mother Nature seems to be confused these days, here’s hoping we have a “real” summer for August. Thank you for sharing your lovely garden, xoRobin
Beautiful blooms whatever the weather. Fabulous pics. X
Hi Vivienne, It’s been a strange summer here too. Am enjoying your flowers here and on IG. Please enjoy those first tomatoes. Happy Weekend….

I have to agree it’s not turning out the best of summers this year, we’ve not had it as wet as you but there’s been an overall greyness and it seems summer doesn’t know whether to rain or shine. I do hope we get the nice August we long for and it would make up for the nights getting shorter now. Lovely flower pics V to cheer us up 🙂 x
