lacy baktus again

by greenrabbitdesigns

Well it’s lovely to be able to post again, I’m afraid WordPress is being a right pain at the moment! Having checked the forums it’s obviously not just me, lots of folk are having problems. I know that comments from some of my previous posts have disappeared and I haven’t been able to publish my posts or upload photos. To get this far I’ve had to download a new browser on my iPad and email myself my photos which are on my lap top. Getting onto my blog from the laptop is impossible via Safari, Internet Explorer, Crome or Firefox. These are problems though that lots of WordPress users are having.

Anyhow I’m quite sure you’re not here to listen to all this, I just hope you are here and that if you want to, you can comment!

You may recognise the scarf/shawl in my photos, you have seen it before, I started it quite a while back. It’s called the Lacy Baktus and over the past week I have pulled it from my WIP’s and started to knit it again, this time I’m determined to finish it.

It is knitted in the beautiful Quince & Co Sparrow yarn which is much too nice to be waiting in a WIP queue!!

I’ve not given up on the bunny making though, I will be making the skirts for my next set of girls from these fabrics, they’re going to have a sewing theme.

Well it has been quite a damp, dismal week here but as usual I’ve been out in the garden searching out a bit of colour for you!

Thanks for dropping in, well at least I hope you’ve been able to drop in!

To all my lovely friends in the US, Happy Thanksgiving and to everyone, happy weekend! 🙂

Aren’t these techno problems a pain….
Thank you so much for brightening our days with beautiful colour and your new bunny collection looks as if it will be stunning as usual.
Love that shawl.

I’m popping in successfully, hurrah! 🙂 It’s nice to hear Word Press folk complaining instead of us Blogger lot for a change! I do hope things sort themselves out for you though.

Ahh, Quince & Co. yarn. I’ve just ordered some for Tristan’s annual pullover! Poor boy; he rarely gets a look-in with those two sisters of his. I’ve never tried their linen yarn. That colour is beautiful, Vivenne.

Speaking of sewing themes for your bunnies, I’ve just purchased this fabulous vintage sewing bobbin fabric from Paris. I really, really like it although I won’t be having the time to make sewing themed hares until January…

Happy weekend to you.

That scarf is going to be so beautiful – love the soft colour. The bunnies will be very cheerful in those gay colours. Hope your techno problems soon get resolved.

Hi Vivienne, I was quite interested in the WordPress bit as I’m trying to use it now and again for a blog I’m doing as a work thing so if I get any problems I’ll know it’s not just me.
The lacy scarf is fabulous, I expect it takes a bit of concentration to keep up the pattern. Dull and dreary too here but the flower pics are very nice to see, have a good weekend xx

I feel your frustration Vivienne! The yarn looks beautiful – such a pretty and delicate shade. You still have flowers in the garden? How wonderful at this time of the year. Have a lovely weekend. x

Sorry to hear you’ve been having a frustrating and time-consuming time with WordPress – it’s usually us Blogger folk with the problems! Hope it all gets resolved soon for you.
Its lovely to see your shawl, such pretty delicate yarn. It must be nice for you to have a change and make something different after all the Bunny making you’ve been doing!
The fabrics look fun for the next set of girls though.
Enjoy your knitting Vivienne!
