I took this photo on my recent trip to London. It is the Canadian War Memorial in Green Park close to Buckingham Palace and it is a memorial to the fallen Canadian soldiers of the two World Wars. I photographed it as I loved how the real sycamore leaf mirrored the maple leaves in the memorial.
However I thought today, Armistice Day, was a good day to share it with you.
I would like to dedicate this post to all those brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedom in two World Wars and in subsequent wars right up to the present day. To all those who suffered horrific injuries due to war and are still suffering and also to those who still serve.

Thank you Vivienne, that was a lovely post and yes let’s all be mindful of those who fought, died and suffered for us all. Blessing to their families. xo Robin
It’s so important to give thanks to those who have served and still serve. What a wonderful post.
A beautiful tribute, and such a wonderful photograph – you captured a serendipity moment with the fallen leaf and gave it an extra significance.
