I wish!!!
The stones are Mediterranean, I brought them back with me from the south of France but they have been lying in a bag in my garage ever since. I wanted to do something with them to show them off as they are very pretty but I didn’t know what.
The cacti didn’t come from the Mediterranean they came from Dobbies Garden Centre which is about 10 miles away. So not quite the Med !!!
But, I decided to put the two together and make myself a mini Mediterranean garden! It’s living in the greenhouse as the temperatures are much closer to the Med there than in my garden.
Maybe one day they might look like this specimen! I live in hope!!!
Sun is shining here this morning, hope it is with you too!
Enjoy your weekend! 🙂

I’m going to sit here quietly with my coffee and gingernut biscuit and gaze longingly at your tiny sweet mediterranean garden and dream.

That is a great little garden there Vivienne. I know that big cactus you showed is handsome but it would never fit in your pot! It’s a bit showery here today but still lovely and warm. Enjoy your weekend whatever the weather,

I am a huge fan of cactus, Viv (the only flora I manage to keep alive!) and with those pretty stones that’s just adorable. It’ll remind you of that fantastic holiday every time you see it!
It’s very Med here today, +30 and sunny and…just HOT. I love it, and I am blowing some of this to your way, we really have something to share!
Have a great weekend!
Yours,
Mia
Your own little piece of the mediterranean Vivienne!….
Hope you have a sunshiney weekend to match,

That’s a good idea, a lovely reminder of your holiday x
Vivienne, The pebbles are fantastic muted colours, I find this picture quite inspiring and the sort of thing you could use to create a colour palette from for fabric or knitting etc. (i’ll send you a pic).
I love beach combing for pebbles and things and it’s nice to have them amongst your plants or garden to remind you of places you’ve been.

That is so lovely! Too much rain round here for me to have one unless I kept it inside, I don’t have a greenhouse.

I love your cacti garden, my mum often makes them for my sister and I am always slightly jealous, must do one for myself one day! bethx
What a good idea – the colours go really well together!

Your rocks ROCK! 😉 They are so very pretty. And what an inspired use for them. Wow. Each one can show off their individual beauty and they play so nicely together with your succulents.
I love bringing back things like those pebbles – means so much more than some of the touristy ‘souvenirs’. The little garden looks great.

What a lovely little garden! You know, I have rocks in a bag waiting for a spot too. They look almost exactly like your rocks only they came from the Oregon coast! You have given me great inspiration, thank you!
BEAUTIFUL! What I would do to be in the South of France now!
