Home animals Monday Moments

Hello everyone, just dropping in to bring you some moments from my day.

It is still slightly chilly around these parts but due to the recent April showers the garden and trees are greening up nicely as you can see by my sycamore tree.

Ok, here goes, my Monday moments…………..

GARDEN MOMENTS ~

The Forget-Me-Nots are in full bloom.
It’s onwards and upwards for the tomato seeds!
Some little plants awaiting warmer days before being planted out!

CAT MOMENTS ~

Charlie, what a handsome lad he is and his good looks are matched by his beautiful nature and temperament, I adore this little cat.
The not often photographed Lily, Lily has always been quite withdrawn and shy and not keen on too much fuss but lately she has wanted to be my friend which is of course lovely.
And then there’s Jessie, well what a madam she is, ‘imp’ would be a good way to describe her!

CROCHET MOMENTS ~

A pile of circles which will be become squares, which will then become a blanket ~ eventually!
Lots of bunny bits and pieces which will of course become bunnies.
These Cath Kidston colour inspired granny squares are not mine, they belong to my daughter who has taken up crochet and is making a blanket. She says she has found her yoga, I love to watch her do it, that’s my girl. 🙂

CLOUD MOMENTS ~

Well I think these three photos sum up today perfectly. Sometimes blue skies, sometimes grey. Sunshine and showers, just as April should be I suppose, a little bit of heat wouldn’t go amiss though!

Happy new week, hopes it’s more sunshine than showers! 🙂

What lovely Monday moments you had Vivienne. How lovely to have cat company in the garden. Everthing is coming along nicely and good to see the seedlings from your greenhouse. I smiled when I saw the body parts and also to hear that Lindsey has taken up crochet. You must be a proud..and very useful mum! Have a lovely week with lots more magic moments.

It all seems to be happening in your garden, I suppose we need the rain but it would suit me better if it came at night time!
Give those kitties a cuddle from me x

I can’t persuade my daughters to knit, sew, or crochet … where did I go wrong!

Lovely moments Vivienne, and you have reminded me that I have loads of sky pics to upload to Project :: Sky 365.

Forget-me-knots were one of my late grandma’s favourite flowers, I really should have them in my garden, they are so delicate and pretty. How fantastic that your daughter has taken up crochet, looks like she’s made a brilliant start too.

Good morning Vivienne!
I love to see your Monday moments and especially your tree …. last year’s tree diary I thought was really interesting and a pleasure to follow. You know, forget-me-nots are just about my favourite flower ….. well along with daisy, dandelion, tulip, daffodil, and roses and …… and …..but forget-me-nots are so lovely :0) I really like your daughter’s yoga! Hope you will keep updating her progress. A little wet again this morning, but I suppose Bella will need to go out soon …. she is curled up in her basket – she has taken to sleeping in these days, to think I used to get her up at 5.30am for a walk!! She must have been wondering ….. “what am i doing up at this time in a morning?”
Have a lovely day,
Val xx Bella XX

Hi Vivienne, such an array of colours in the Forget-me-nots, I forgot how beautiful they can be. All is looking very lush! Aaah, Charlie does look a sweetie, thank you for giving us a fix of our furry friends!
Great that your daughter has picked up the wool & hooks, she looks to be going along nicely, I bet she finishes her blanket before I do with mine I started 5 years ago!
Have a nice week, Sally x

Lovely to see Forget-me-knots, they had reached weed stage in our garden so I pulled them all out and now I miss them 🙁 nice to see the cats as well, mine is not in favour today after killing a baby rabbit, I walked into the utility area this morning to find it’s leg and that was after I removed a whole (also dead) one yesterday from the sewing room. Naughty kitty. Bethx

thanks for sharing your lovely monday moments Vivienne – what a great idea for a post and you’ve filled it full of beautiful pictures, I especially love the forget-me-knots which remind me of childhood days in my mum and dad’s garden – I always thought they were the flower a fairy would choose if they wanted to pick some to put in a vase – they are so tiny and pretty and I must go and get some seeds to plant in my garden. Charlie is a very handsome boy, he looks very gentle and sweet and your colourful crochet piles are full of anticpation of lovely finished projects
