My Autumn Park

by greenrabbitdesigns

I was checking back to see the last time I did a park post and it was the 26th June, I can’t believe it was that long since we had a walk in the park!
This was a post that I had intended to do last month but due to October’s horrible weather it wasn’t possible. Thankfully November has started beautifully and we enjoyed a lovely walk in the park yesterday and there still is some autumn colour about!

I love the light at this time of year when the weather is good that is. The sun is low in the sky and the shadows are long.

There are still plenty of crunchy leaves to walk through!

Even though I do feel a bit sad when the tree’s loose their leaves they do look majestic when you can see their bare branches.

There was a beautiful golden glow yesterday.

We had the sun and the moon in the sky at the same time yesterday afternoon.

It amazes me how some of the trees still have some of their leaves ………

others are just changing colour ……….

and some, like my own garden tree have lost all their leaves!

The wildlife were all out in force, these swans are always very grateful for the what the park visitors bring them.

Of course these cheeky chappies are never far away!!

Since the clocks went back the evening comes very quickly and that low sun soon slips below the horizon……..

creating some beautiful silhouettes as it goes.

I hope you enjoyed your little walk around ‘my autumn park’. We’re still enjoying some gorgeous late autumn weather here, fingers crossed it stays for a while.

Happy new week everyone!!! 🙂

Beautiful autumn park pictures! I do love to see the trees as the colours change, and the bare branches too. I think I appreciate trees much more than I used to, it was only flowers for me at one time but now I have just as much pleasure from looking at trees. Thank you for sharing such lovely photos. Have a great week. Helen x

I am glad you have some good weather at last! Unfortunately November has started off horribly damp and grey with not a hint of sun here in the south East of England! The leaves have started to fall now and I can see that winter is just around the corner. I hope you have many more autumnal days to enjoy in the park! x

Oh your pictures are just wonderful!! It is very beautiful in your park…I’m afraid most of our trees are bare or beaten from the hurricane and snow storm.
The only good thing about winter is that it makes me want to create quilts, throws, and knit more 🙂
Have a Happy day

Love your Autumn walk pictures… It is great when you get a really clear crisp sunny Autumn day and can go out walking and crunching leaves – one of my favourite things to do! hehe. Have had a few days like that here too, tho also had torrential rain and floods last week 🙁 Hope you’re enjoying a cosy evening xxx

That was a lovely autumn post Vivienne. The weather has been so good and yes the colours from the trees this year are spectacular. I really enjoyed my walk with you, you have taken some beautiful photos. It is getting dark though so early…but never mind “C” is fast approaching.
Enjoy your evening, keep warm and cosy,
Jane x

Hi Vivienne, So nice to see your lovely photos and walk with you. The light in the pictures are so grand. I love capturing the sun shining through branches, reflections off water and showing the pretty colors. Autumn is here too (snow is gone) and the light is setting earlier BUT love going to work in the light. Hope you have a great week. xoRobin❤

Gorgeous photos Vivienne, because the light changes so quickly it actually looks like you were out walking for hours. What a classic photo of a startled squirrel, love it!

What a gorgeous post Vivienne! It’s been a while since I’ve had a proper walk in the woods here and you’ve inspired me … the first sunny afternoon we have, that’s where I’m going 😀

Beautiful pictures, Vivienne!

It’s amazing how different yet always beautiful pictures you can take from your park during the year! I love those swans, and it really doesn’t seem like November! It’s nice and almost warm here too, but I am “enjoying” a flue her…*sigh*

Happy day to you, dear Friend!

Yours,
Mia
