My Kind Of October

by greenrabbitdesigns

This really is my kind of October, the weather here these past few days has been beautiful. I know I probably shouldn’t speak too soon as it could all change very quickly and I think I heard something on the weather forecast last night about rain but I really didn’t pay too much heed to it! I’m in denial!!

This was the sky here this morning and apart from the slight autumnal chill in the air it did seem like a summer’s day. You have no idea how much that makes me happy. If only we could get through the end of the year like this! Wishful thinking, I know!

My garden is very happy too, it’s still producing ‘summer’ flowers.

I spent most of yesterday afternoon preening and tidying in the garden, definitely good for the soul!

The bright days certainly make it much easier photographing items for my my shop too.

Just some little autumn brooches that I’ve finished!

Well I hope wherever you are you get to see some sunshine today.

Happy Tuesday! 🙂

How lovely that you are still having some sunny days, and your garden is still looking so summery too – all those flowers!

I’m pleased to hear that someone is getting some nice weather. I should really be outside doing a spot of garden tidying and hedge trimming, but instead I’m huddled up indoors, with a hot drink. brrrr!
I love your first photo – what a shocking pink & yellow combo. I love it!
And, get you with your artsy last photo of your pretty brooches :0) Beautiful makes, as always, Vivienne. xxxx

Beautiful! Rain here for what seems like weeks and the nights are chilly. Love your fall broches – perfect for sweaters 🙂

Beautiful brooches Vivienne! I heard that the weather forecast was good for Northern Ireland the past couple of days. Hopefully it will stay dry in Southern England when I go up to the vineyard this week! You have a lovely display of flowers. x

Hello, First time visitor and whilst enjoying looking at your lovely rabbits and brooches I then realised you are in Northern Ireland. I am a regular visitor to Northern Ireland (from England) and recognise lots of places you have photographed. It is a really beautiful place and I have come to love it. Will be visiting you regularly now to see your handiwork as I make things too, sewing mainly, and your photography of where you live.

It sounds like you’ve been doing better with the weather than we have! I do hope you aren’t getting this miserable rain we have today and can still enjoy that gorgeous garden!

Thanks Vivienne for these flowers and all of the autumn photos.
It has been very grey and rainy here. (I hope Lancaster and Aberdeen are a bit better) (-;
I’m glad to see Penny the bunny has a new home.

best wishes,
