Home animals My Week In Pictures

It has been a lovely week, weatherwise and I’ve had plenty of opportunity to get outside into the garden. It’s a strange mix at the moment as the leaves are changing colour and the berries are out on the shrubs but at the same time there are still strawberries ripening!

I couldn’t resist taking a pic of these oranges, I love a full fruit basket, I love how it looks however it doesn’t stay like that for very long, it soon gets eaten but then that’s what it’s for! There has been a bit of chocolate cake baking and a bit of toffee apple eating, a bit too much some would say!

What would a week be without the kits. Clockwise from top left, Charlie, Jessie and Lily.

Flowers inside and surprisingly outside too. My cosmos is in full bloom, long may it last.

I spotted this flock of geese flying over the house yesterday, I might have missed them completely if it hadn’t been for the noise they were making, such a lot of honking!!! The little snail was snoozing in my flower border this afternoon, just as long as he goes somewhere else for his tea! As for the other photo, I have no idea at all what they are. I’m guessing they are eggs of some sort, there were a lot of big slugs round about them but if anyone knows what they are I would love to know.

Crochet! A week wouldn’t be a week be without crochet! The bunnies, I know you’ve seen them all before, were out in the garden for a photoshoot for Facebook and I made some new crocheted brooches too.

Well as you will have worked out by now I’ve been having a little play about with PicMonkey today, it was fun sorting out my photos into little groups.

So that was my week, not a lot different to most of my weeks but that’s the way I like it!

I hope you all a lovely weekend, keep warm as it’s going to get a lot colder over the next few days and thanks as always for your much appreciated visits and lovely comments!!! 🙂

Ooooh I must check PicMonkey out Vivienne, I really like the photos…is it tricky. What lovely “sets” of photos, all are gorgeous. They are slugs eggs you found…not my favourite of creatures..LOL. Get out the scarves and gloves as yes we are getting a quick blast of winter. Have a lovely weekend my friend,
Jane x

I love your week in pictures Vivienne! Never heard of picmonkey and must go and have a look. Fancy still having strawberries in October!!! I think the eggs are snail or slugs eggs. Your chocolate cake looks wonderful as do the fur babies, flowers and bunnies! Have a great weekend. x

Hi Vivienne, I’ve got my vests and long johns to hand as I can fill that chilly air creeping up on us! I haven’t had a toffee apple yet this autumn, I keep seeing them in the shops but they seem too expensive this year so I have bought extra apples with the hope of making some. Lovely pictures as always, have a good weekend. x

Your week and photos are lovely as always! We saw and heard the geese flying overhead too, what a great photo you captured! They always seem to be too high for my camera to get any good shots. xo Karen

What a wonderful array of lovely images Vivienne, your bunny girls look so cute perched up there on that branch. The weather is set to turn colder from today which will no doubt being about many changes in our gardens – might be the end of those strawberries! Keep warm and have a lovely weekend x
PS: they look like snail eggs to me – if you leave them exposed I expect the blackbirds and robins will find them for a tasty snack!

Hi Vivienne, thanks so much for your comment on my blog return 🙂 so lovely to read your blog again, I have a lot of catching up to do! Your week looks very Autumnal, love the seasonal colours in the leaves and your lovely little bunnies! I think those eggs are slugs eggs as I found a load similar in my flower pot last year. Have a great weekend, hope to pop back soon! Jenny xxx

They’re snail’s eggs, unless I’m very much mistaken. Slugs eggs are more ovoid in shape, these look reasonably spherical. I’m not sure I’d have left them for the birds, I’d have been calling all the young primary school teachers I know asking if they could use them!

I can’t believe you still have strawberries, not so far west of you the weather has been appalling, either very wet or constantly foggy and damp. But today the sun is shining and I am off out with my camera shortly. Hopefully I can get some shots as good as these

Have a lovely weekend Vivienne

What a wonderful week you have had, Vivienne! And I must say I envy the light and brightness in these images, mine are always so gray and not-so-nice these days…And it’s getting worse *sigh* BUT those lovely cats cheer me up any day! Kiss those cuties for me, dear friend, and have a lovely new week soon!
