I’m taking you for a white walk in the park today, not white like this post, a different time of year and a different kind of white!

DSCN9356

The white I’m referring too is the abundance of beautiful flowers and blossom in bloom in the park at the moment.

There is so much cow parsley, in fact there are swathes of it everywhere and very pretty it is too!

DSCN9357

Lots of little clumps of daisies just waiting to be made into daisy chains!

DSCN9366

Beautiful horse chestnut candles.

The hawthorn is so amazing this year, I’m sure that means something in folklore, I do hope it’s not a bad winter!!! My father would have known.

Isn’t the hawthorn blossom simply gorgeous.

Right along this path the trees are covered in white, it actually looked even more impressive a couple of evenings ago when the sun was setting, it was so bright today and the sun has bleached the photos a little and you don’t get the same effect.

It wasn’t just the flora that was white, the fauna was mostly white today too. There were swans in various stages of life, babies, juveniles, expectant mums and young parents!

There were so many white butterflies too fluttering about, all too busy to pose for photos though!

It has been such a beautiful day here today and I think possibly the hottest yet. I do love a walk in ‘my park’, I love the sunshine and I love summer!!! 🙂

I love ‘your park’ Vivienne. The white flowers are stunning. I like to see how they glow at dusk. The swans are so graceful and peaceful to watch gliding across the lake! x

Lovely, lovely pictures of your park clothed all in white.
The hawthorne blossom reminds me of walking home from junior school. I used to love the smell of it.
So nice to see the swans and their babies.

You know I love your park – and white with green is my favorite color combination. Then of course – the white flowers and swans are such a lovely nod to the upcoming wedding. Happy Days.

These are lovely pictures V, cool and calming for a warm day. I do like cow parsley and walked through a patch of it the other day with that heady scent. I hope the hawthorn isn’t a sign of a grim winter.
Have a good week x

Dear Vivienne,

Your park is beautiful come rain or shine, but this white-version of it must be my favorite so far! Just beautiful, and BOTH flora AND fauna white this time, amazing!

I wish your June has turned into hot and beautiful, and we both will get to enjoy this summer until… Should I say September or so?!

Happy Monday, dear friend!

Yours,
Mia

Your park looks beautiful, Vivienne. Especially on such a lovely sunny day. I’m loving your white theme. Cow parsley always reminds me of my childhood walks through the woods with my mum. Did you resist blowing the Dandelion clock?? Violet wouldn’t have been able to! That’s probably why Dandelions seem to be in abundance in my garden!
Jill xx
PS – thanks for your comment over on my blog today regarding my knitting. I think I’ll take it to show the ladies at my knitting club on Thursday and take a vote on whether to gift or frog!

We have lots of cow parsley in the garden here but, although it is so pretty, it means I’ve got to get the gardening gloves out 🙁
Not long now and you’ll be enjoying yet another white day?? xx

I do like white flowers 🙂 I keep meaning to go back to ‘my’ thorn tree and photograph it while it still has blossom.
