Neapolitan Crochet

by greenrabbitdesigns

Unusually for me I’ve been crocheting in pink this week, with a little bit of cream and a little bit of brown thrown in.

All the time I’ve been crocheting it has been reminding me of something ~ something nice!

All those colours together just say to me ~ Neapolitan ice cream!!!

So much so that I had to go out and buy some, delicious it was too.

Sometimes inspiration works in reverse. 🙂

Hope you’re all having a good week, thanks for visiting, just wish I could give you all a bowl of ice cream! Did I mention it was delicious! 😉

YUM! My youngest has a hard time pronouncing ice cream, so it always comes out as air cream. That is something everyone can share :).
The crochet looks dreams – ♥ the polka dot buttons .

Just lovely flowers – maybe I´ll get my own chrochet going when fall comes! Oh yes, I think she missed us and I sure missed her! 🙂

Lovely colours – lovely crochet and lovely ice cream. I can’t remember the last time I had Neapolitan Ice cream – now I want some too!

Luckily (for my waistline), Neopolitan does nothing for me. I’m a Vanilla girl through and through :0) – we all have our weaknesses!
Beautiful crochet, as ever, Vivienne. I especially love the Raspberry Ripple shades in the last corsage. Are they for a special occassion, or have you been inspired to try a new colour palette?
Haven’t managed to catch any of the Olympics yet today, but I’ve just read that GB have won 2 Golds – Fantastic!

My favourite ice cream Vivienne. I love your sunny colours. The buttons in the centers are perfect, gorgeous crochet as always. I think pink and brown are a great combo. Could you put a spoonful here for me! Enjoy your evening, I am loving the Olympics….2 golds today…wahooooo!

oh, yum yum! We only ever used to get Neopolitan ice-cream at birthday parties… but I think I’ll have to treat us all next time I go shopping after seeing this. x

The flowers are gorgeous! I especially like the shades of pink! And the bowl of ice cream would have been a treat in the recent hot weather!

Oooo lovely, very ice-creamy flowers! I haven’t had neopolitan for years, I remember it as ice cream sandwiches. x

Looking very delicious, Vivienne, and I love all the pink! I would love to come and visit you if there’s any ice-cream left? And even if there isn’t 😉

Happy first week of August (really???)!

I’ve just recently done some Neapolitan crochet, myself! Your flowers are wonderful!

You’re right. They do look like Neopolitan icecream…or nougat.

Fwaire August 3, 2012 - 8:14 pm

Luckily we have some raspberry ripple icecream in the freezer! 😀 Yum!

I love those flowers! The buttons in the middle are so cute!

I’m several posts behind with my comments due to having family here.
Love the neapolitan crochet and the ice cream looks good too.
When we visit my daughter in UK we frequently pass Battenburg Road.
Needless to say I always have to buy the cake. I love it 🙂
