Olive

by greenrabbitdesigns

I’ve just finished another little ‘Green Rabbit’, her name is Olive.

She has been crocheted in an olive green cotton/bamboo mix yarn and wears a little cardigan knitted in Rowan Handknit Cotton with two small olive green buttons.

When I think of olives I always think of France and the beautiful olive trees that grow there. Olive’s skirt is made with Parthenay fabric which I bought in La Droguerie in Nice when we were there earlier this year. So I suppose you can say she is another French inspired bunny.

I think she is my favourite bunny so far, I love the colours.

Not much chance of growing many olives here, the rain was bouncing off the road this morning!! The sun is shining now but the forecast is not good! Here we go again.

Have a good week, rain or shine! 🙂

Another beautiful bunny!

She’s gorgeous! Probably best she doesn’t live in our part of France, though, as she might well end up in the pot!!!!

Welcome dear little Olive. Another sweetie to join your gorgeous bunny colony Vivienne (I had to look that up…I did not know what a group of bunnies are called but now I do!) It’s been dull but warm here but come on we had over a week of good weather, that equals summer I think! Us Brits cannot be too greedy with the sunshine. Enjoy the week, hope the sun comes back soon.

HI Vivienne, Olive is so sweet and the color is just a great shade. The fabric is perfect and she is just so yummy. I’m wondering how many bunnies have you made?!? I think they are just so fun and beautifully made.
Sending love and sunshine your way, xoRobin❤

What a cutie .. and I recognised that fabric as soon as I saw her. La Droguerie indeed, I badly need to go there!

Olive is a lovely, lovely girl! And she’s a true green rabbit too! And all those little details are just so sweet (and matching, I love it!) – she makes me smile 🙂

Happy Tuesday from NOT-rainy Finland (yippeeeee!!!)!

Hi Vivienne, you certainly know how to make a cute bunny and in such a lovely shade. I bet the bamboo mix yarn was nice to work with. Very pretty dress too. You must have a lot of bunnies now in all colours of the rainbow!
I fear the weather is on the turn again, not looking good here as the week progresses. have fun, Sally x

I love Olive but Francoise is my absolute favourite. Isn’t it funny that you get drawn to certain things without really knowing why? I can imagine you having a craft stall or part of a shop that justs sells Vivienne’s bunnies. They would be in a kaleidescope of colours and different sizes and have changes of clothes too!!! (Getting a bit carried away there!) I think a pumpkin coloured bunny would be lovely, and a bunny for fall, a bunny for the autumn equinox, a thanksgiving bunny, a halloween bunny and that is all before we get to Christmas! x

I love your little green rabbit – I’d love a cardi like hers!

Olive looks just lovely Vivienne!

I just read your comment on my blog. I changed my vegetable plot into a cutting garden for exactly the same reason. Last year I only had a few onions, garlic and two or three courgettes. The patch is a sea of flowers now. I can really recommend it to you!

She is absolutely delightful. All of your bunnies have such impeccable taste with perfectly coordinated wardrobes.
I think Olive might well be my favourite too.
Lots of olives in Spain too 🙂 I have acquired a taste for them where before I couldn’t stand them.
