On another one of our days out last week we visited Antrim Castle Gardens, I have blogged about them before when we visited them last summer, you can find the post here.
This visit they were still sporting their springtime colours!
They had a beautiful apple tree cordoned along a wall and it was in full bloom!
After our visit to the gardens I managed to squeeze in a little visit to a craft shop (as you do!!) and inspired by the colours of the apple blossom I purchased some yarn and fabric to make a new little girl!
This is Pippin!
As she was inspired by apple blossom, I looked at a list of apple names and the name Pippin just jumped out at me, I think the name suits her!!
So here we are in a new month, how on earth did we get to May so quickly, I do love May though, everything is so green in May!
Thanks so much for all your visits and comments, I do love to hear from you.
Wishing you a lovely new month and a great weekend ahead! 🙂

What beautiful flowers were on show Vivienne and how sweet little Pippin is…….such a gorgeous dusky pink cardi. Happy May 1st and yes it seems as though Christmas was just the other day….I thought that would make you laugh. There is so much beautiful blossom around at the moment and all those little pippin apples are being created ;0) xx
Wow! She is lovely. And the name Pippin suits her. The apple Cox Orange Pippin is a very tasty apple with a very nice red/orange blush. Hartelijke groeten, Beerta
awh she is beautiful………where was the craft shop?
I especially love Pippin’s cardi! x
Beautiful Spring flowers, those tulips amongst the forget-me-nots look wonderful.
Pippin is lovely, her pretty frock and cardi, and her pale colouring all match beautifully to make her the perfect apple blossom bunny.
Have a great day Vivienne, and Happy May Day!

What great pics, and I especially love the cheeky forget me nots, carpeting everywhere. Pippin is gorgeous, BTW, as are all your lovely bunnies. x
Wonderful photographs Vivienne… and I can see why you were inspired to make Pippin. She’s very pretty and just like apple blossom. I sometimes think you have as much fun naming your rabbits as making them!
Vivienne, What a beautiful inspiration for “Pippin”. Lovely name and fits her perfectly! Love the first photo, it is stunning. May use it as my screensaver : ) If I can manage to do it….. MAY is here and I am delighted! I love MAY and am hoping for some warmer weather to make our gardens sprout!! Happy May Day, V. xoRobin
Gorgeous! Love the tulips in the blue forget-me-not. Our apple blossoms and tulips just ended a week or so ago. Sorry I’m hardly around any more online, so so busy! xo Karen
Hello dear Vivienne,
Happy May 1st!
Lovely images, those flowers are simply fantastic! We have had some her too (yippee!) but oh my, those at yours are something else. I am a bit confused that we are in May already (April came and went, Easter is all I can remember of it!), and summer is so near…Soon!
Pippin is beautiful, just my kind of girl – quite obviously 😉
Lovely day, dear friend!
Yours,
Mia

What fabulous flower pictures Vivienne, I love the contrast between the forget-me-nots and the tulips in the top picture and apple blossom has to be the very prettiest of tree blossoms. Little Pippin is a perfect May bunny. Enjoy the long weekend x

She is very sweet. I love that dress fabric. xx
I missed this post the other day, what fab flowers and I love Pippin, it’s a great name. Do you remember Pippin from Pogles Wood, that was my favourite childrens tv show at the time. 🙂 x
Pippin is lovely. As I moaned about Kent in my last post, I have to say, walking amongst the many orchards around here is quite lovely, to be fair. I think the colours in the top photo are fabulous, the lovely blue forget-me-not with the orange tulips, so pretty! Bethxx
