There are so many plants in my garden at the moment that are purple and green, like this beautiful Morning Glory!
It’s such a lovely colour combination and nature does it so well.
Clover, grown from a wildflower seed mix.
Salvia.
Buddleia ~ the bees and butterflies favourite!
Double petunias.
Lobelia.
These trailing petunias are in a hanging basket in my front porch and the scent is amazing.
Eryngium, a very pretty little plant.
So taking my inspiration from nature, I got making!!
And this is what I came up with!
Meet Hydie, named after the beautiful hydrangeas on her skirt. Strangely, hydrangea is the one plant not blooming in my garden at the moment, I think I may have pruned it too much last autumn and although it looks healthy it has no blooms, maybe next year.
Anyhow Hydie is off to live in, very appropriately, leafy Cheshire!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend, it has started off pretty dull here but ‘they’ promise sunshine later!
Happy weekend!!! 🙂

Thank you for the beautiful rabbits and flowers in your garden I enjoy too. I come from Ireland and live in Australia. How do I buy one of your rabbits? Elizabeth

I love purple Vivienne. As you and I are not pink girls I think it has enough blue in it to be just fine! Your flowers look beautiful and little Hydie is a stunner. Happy weekend my dear ;0) Jane x
Yep, purple is my favourite too Vivienne! Happy weekend!
Dear Vivienne,
I thought purple is not my favorite but oh my, how gorgeous it looks paired with green here! Hydie’s skirt is so pretty – and she’s adorable girl herself!
Have a lovely weekend, hopefully sunny (rainy here)!
Yours,
Mia
Ooh, I love her! Hydrangeas are some of my favourite flowers!!
Such a pretty bunny 🙂
Beautiful bunny AND flowers, Vivienne!!
Purple and green are a winning combo. My hb and I both love hydrangeas. His grandmother grew them in her garden. Sending some sunshine…..Our weather has improved today.

Hydie is such a great name for her! I have some lovely purple Hydrangeas in my garden at the moment but not much else! You have a lovely selection of plants Vivienne. I have just received some bells of ireland seeds, when they grow I will think of you Mrs Bell!!! x
lovely purple flowers and love this sweet bunny hydie very pretty
Lovely photos – lovely bunnie too! I often think that autumn (whisper it only) is not just oranges and golds but mauves and pinks too and your have some lovely examples here.
Beautiful flowers Vivienne…We have Salvia in our garden and I love it…it’s so pretty (I also noticed lots in the boxes at Wimbledon!) Hydie is gorgeous (and I think she would have gone down very well at Wimbledon too with her lovely colour combination!) My hydrangea isn’t doing as well as last year either…not sure why?
Happy Sunday,
Susan x
Such pretty colours. I love how you always seem to have the appropriately coloured and patterned fabrics for each of your rabbits.
I just love Lobelia – they’re such delicate, pretty flowers :0) I’m a big fan of Eryngiums too – I had them made into buttonholes and corsages for my wedding.
I’m sure the very beautiful Hydie will love her new home in Cheshire xx
Gorgeous colours….love the pretty purples and greens of the flower pictures and how cute Hydie is with her matching colour scheme! And such a fun name! Wishing you a happy sunny week, Vivienne.

She’s cute! I’ve just potted a hydrangea today and it sits outside our front door. I’ve been wanting one for a long time so I’m pretty chuffed about it now!
Your garden must look beautiful Vivienne, all that gorgeous colour.
Hi V, lovely, a post with lots of my favourite purple colours in, such a nice combination with green. What a pretty bunny, I would wear that little cardigan if it fitted me!!! I love the sea holly but I’ve never had much luck growing it, it must need certain conditions, looks great. x
