September Tree

by greenrabbitdesigns

Well here we at the start of another new month and September has come in bright and sunny like all the rest of them with the exception of August!

Just look at that sky! Typical though that as the kids go back to school, the good weather returns!
This morning as I was taking my photographs there wasn’t a breeze, the sun was shining, it was warm, the birds were singing and ……..

the kittens were wrestling!! 😉

Honestly it was all so peaceful R.J. was lying in the sun minding his own business and Polly dropped in from what seemed like above and started messing about!! She even took me by surprise as I was taking R.J.’s photo and he was posing so nicely. They are ever so funny, never a dull moment!

Anyhow back to the September tree! It was full of all kinds of insects this morning.

Most of the leaves are still shiny and green.

Although we can see signs of what is to come!

I have to say though and this will amaze many of you, I have been thinking of autumn this week. I’ve been drawn to all things ‘rusty’ coloured and I have even bought some new clothes in those colours.

I even compiled a treasury over on Etsy using items made in those rusty/orange shades.

So there you go, me feeling autumny, who would have thought it!! However this morning was so lovely I’m thinking now that maybe we’re going to have an Indian Summer and have a few more weeks of sunshine! See, the autumny feeling didn’t last long, did it! 😉

Hope you’re all having a good week and that you have a wonderful weekend ahead and as always, thanks for visiting! 🙂

They all look lovely! We too have had a fabulous day in our neck of the woods – just what we need to reassure us that winter is not about to decend now that August and possibly summer have gone.

I do enjoy your tree posts! Perhaps September will be a lovely warm month and make up for August, but I fear that autumn is upon us already, whether we like or not, so many of the trees here are already taking on their autumn colours!

The tree is still looking lovely and green! It is true, we seem to have a heatwave once the children go back to school! The little kitties are so much fun! x

How quick the month goes by, September already. It has been a glorious day Vivienne, but the nights are drawing in so quickly. Your kittens are such fun…I have such a soft spot for cats. Your treasurery you made is super, really lovely warm colours and very unlike you, next thing we know you will be mentioning the “c” word! Have a great weekend.

The weather has been lovely where I’m from too! It’s a bit topsy turvy as yesterday I was freezing and could definately feel that autumn chill in the air but today it was glorious – shame I was stuck in work :/

I do hope we get an Indian summer, although a bit more sunshine towards the end of August would have made the kids summer holidays more special…. those kittens are adorable 🙂

Wow, the tree is looking huge! Lovely blue sky in your picture too. It’s been gorgeous here today..as you say, it’s typical when school goes back for the weather to perk up! (I remember that from my own schooldays too!)
Love the playful kittens picture, they are such fun to watch aren’t they? Have a great nearly weekend.

September…. noooo!!!! I’m so not ready for Autumn… need a bit more summer yet! Feels like it’s gone particularly quick this year. At least we have got sunshine for a couple of days anyway 😉 Have a nice weekend, those kitties are just the sweetest things, so making me yearn for one myself! xxx

Hi Viv,
Love your photos. You are quite the photographer! Playful kitties so sweet and fun to just sit back and enjoy. I’m hoping for an Indian summer here in Vermont too. Chilly mornings, warm days and cool evenings. Not really ready but it is beautiful here. Hope you have a lovely weekend and enjoy yourself.

I love September, as summer mellows into autumn, but an indian summer would be lovely this year to make up for such a short summer…………….sweet funny playful kittens.

Seeing the tree pictures it all still looks bright and summery with the kittens enjoying playing in the warmth. I will keep my fingers crossed for a late summer to ease us into autumn.
I’ve been clicking through the Etsy finds, I love the neck collar and the cute little knitted fox, he’s fab!
Happy first week in September x

September is always full of a ‘fresh start’ feeling – obviously to do with the academic year, but I love it because of the colours. Bright blue skies, lots of green still with just a few hints of the showy colours about to come in the leaves.
Perfect. And a perfect picture of your tree again Vivienne!
