Scarlet Collage

Over the past week or so I have been working on a little collection of bunnies which I have called the ‘Sewing Circle’ girls.

They have all been named after different types of fabric and all are dressed in sewing themed outfits.

The first is Scarlet, scarlet was once the name given to any brightly coloured cloth not just red but this little Scarlet is definitely red!!! She is made from Bluefaced Leicester yarn and has a tape measure ribbon in her ear and a pair of scissors on her cotton cardie. Her skirt is covered in all sorts of little sewing notions.

Tiffany Collage

The second sewing girl is Tiffany, Tiffany got her name from the thin gauze muslin of the same name. This Tiffany though is a patchwork girl with her hexie fabric skirt and thimble button and also has a tape measure ribbon in her ear.

Georgette Collage

The third and final sewing bunny is Georgette, the fabric that she is named after is a thin silk or crêpe. She has lots of pretty cotton reels all over her skirt and a cotton reel button on her coral cardigan and like all the other sewing girls has a tape measure bow in her ear.

All the ‘Sewing Circle’ girls will be for sale in my Etsy shop at 10.00pm tonight (Wed 11th Dec).

This is the last of the bunnies for this year but there will be lots more in 2014, I’m already picking out heart fabrics for Valentines!!!

Hope all your festive preparations are going well, if you’re like me you will still have lots to do!

If you’re in the UK, isn’t the weather remarkably mild for this time of year, I’m certainly not complaining though.

Happy Wednesday, thanks as always for popping in! 🙂

Hurrah for the ‘Sewing Circle’ girls Vivienne!…They are all gorgeous and pretty as ever…I could never choose between them (I love their tape measure bows too…they are such a lovely addition and your clever little button elf has been very busy indeed 🙂 )

Wow Vivienne this bunny collection is really clever, I love all the details especially the tape measure ribbons in their “hair” or should I say “hare!” I can’t choose between Scarlet and Tiffany as my favourites…..they will all fly out of your shop and make their new owners very happy. Mid week already, take care Jxx

Ohhhh, so lovely. I missed them on fb but glad I saw them here. Very lovely, Vivienne. Miss Scarlet and Miss Tiffany are my favorites. They will be fun presents. Please send some mild weather over here. So cold and windy this whole month!!
Busy days here, too.

They are all beautiful as always Vivienne, and I especially like the tape measure bow details! I have also been thinking the same about the weather recently apart from today, it’s freezing out there! We had such a heavy frost this morning that it didn’t clear until gone 11am.

On another note I have just seen the lovely feedback that you put on my Etsy shop, it really is much appreciated. Many thanks again and enjoy the rest of your week, Jenny x

Ah, I love your sewing circle girls, Vivienne! Such a cute idea and I think they will be very popular! It is too difficult to pick a favourite really….but I do rather like Scarlet! I like the information about the fabrics too.
Happy rest of the week!

gorgeous, I love your attention to details.
Where do you find all the tiny buttons?

Brilliant as ever Vivienne, I love the fact that they are sewing girls. Maybe one day I’ll be in time to buy one. I thought of you yesterday, I’m lucky enough to have a fabric/wool shop within walking distance of my home and yesterday I bought some beautiful tiny heart quilting fabric for a lavender cushion, perfect for a Valentine’s bunny.

I’m loving the Sewing Circle Girls. They’re all beautiful, it’s hard to pick a favourite.
So many Christmas preparation going on around here. Last night we went to see Violet in her first School Choir performance – of course I cried. I was so proud of her, and all the other little children. They all did so well.

All 3 bunnies are beautiful Vivienne, my favourite one is Tiffany because of the turquoise cardigan. You do lovely craft work. Still enjoying Pixie. Have a wonderful week end. Blessings to you and your family. Elizabeth x x

Aren’t they sweet, I’m sure they have been snapped up. Wow new bunny plans for next year that’s great. I’m so pleased we haven’t really had much frost or any snow yet, I’m still chilly but I know it could be a lot worse. Have a good week Vivienne xx
