As I mentioned in my previous post my bunnies for June are all inspired by my recent holiday in the south of France.
The flower above is lemon blossom and very pretty it is too.
I always think its wonderful that so many people have lemon trees growing in their gardens in France, imagine going out into your back garden to pick a lemon when baking a lemon drizzle cake or if you needed a slice of lemon for a cold drink, all you had to do was nip outside to fetch one.
So my first June bunny has been inspired by lemons and her name is Sherbet.
I have to confess to loving the French patisseries, a little too much perhaps!!!
Millefeuille, tarte au citron, macarons…..oh my the French do it so well!
I did sample the ‘Ryan Gosling’ in the above photo and it was as you might expect wonderful.
June bunny number two, Caron, has as you have probably already guessed been inspired by these amazing little treats, they may only be two bites but they are packed with flavour!
Just look as the colours in the above photo, the Côte d’Azur…….the blue coast, so well named!
The colours of the sea and sky are stunning and it’s no surprise that countless artists over the years including Picasso, Renoir and Matisse moved to this area to paint in the beautiful clear light.
Azur with her many shade of blue and her little palm tree has been named after the Côte d’Azur.
So that’s the June girls so far, there are more to come though!
Thanks as always for dropping by and thanks also to all you lovely people who took the time to comment on my last post.
Have a lovely week. 🙂

So enjoy seeing your vacation photos, the places you visit are so beautiful and I always like the dessert shots. I was stationed in Germany for four years and traveled to France a couple of times, but don’t remember ever trying a macaroon. By the way, the bunnies look delicious as well. 🙂

Yes I would love to be able to go into the garden to pick a lemon on a whim! All your new bunnies are beautiful but stunning Azur may just be my favourite this time around! x
Ahhh Vivienne, I think this is one of your best months/themes ever. You are capturing a special place, indeed. Can’t wait to see more French inspired bunnies.

Such pretty photos and I love your bunny names this Month. I have a skirt in the same fabric as Caron’s but in pink!
Lovely bunnies as always m’dear.
And yes, wouldn’t it be wonderful to have a lemon tree, although if I’m honest I think it would be small compensation for the necessary hot summers, I don’t really do heat.
So far June is turning out well , weather wise , and bunny wise . I love macaroons and love the little bunny dress
Hi Vivienne, I did own a lemon tree for a while in my conservatory but unfortunately it didn’t survive. I once got a very tiny lemon though which make me very excited! The pictures and the bunnies are beautiful. They are helping me to get in the mood for holidays. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the bunnies in my birthday month 🙂

The bunnies are beautiful as always Vivienne. My mother-in-law has a lemon tree in her garden in Spain and our girls always made lemonade on our visits. Lovely pics – those macarons, that coastline, heaven! Have a lovely weekend. Jane xx

Hello dear Vivienne,
It’s me again, I am so sorry I have been quiet over the blogland for a while! I have had superbusy month(s), and also my laptop decided to hate me again 🙁 I have a new tab but commenting with it (or via phone) seems too hard for me – so hb’s laptop it is this time! We’ll see how this works out.
Lovely bunnies, those are just perfectly capturing your Riviera-France-theme, i just love Caron and her dress!
Wishing you wonderful June-days (only a week until Midsummer!!!), and we will see around blogland more often soon, after next week I will have more time for everything!
Sunny greetings from Finland!
Yours,
Mia
