Home bags Spring Giveaway

Spring Giveaway

by greenrabbitdesigns

One year ago today my little blog began!
My children set it up and gave it to me as part of my Mothers Day gift last year.
They knew how much I enjoyed reading other crafting blogs and decided it was time I had my own!
Now the whole idea of running a blog definitely appealed to me but the uploading and downloading etc.etc. completely overwhelmed me and to be honest I hadn’t clue.
So my poor little blog was very, very neglected for about eight months.
However in the New Year I decided that I really had to get the hang of this blogging lark!
I decided to take part in the Dutch Sisters Spring Surprise Swap and in MarmaladeRose’s 20 Minuters and knew that the blog would be useful for these.
So I got going and I have to say I am enjoying it and that it’s not really all that scary!

To mark the start date of the blog, I have decided in true blogging tradition to have a little giveaway even though I feel a bit of a fraud as I haven’t actually blogged for a year!!
One of the main reasons for having a blog in the first place was for my little bags so I am offering one of them as the giveaway.

The bag up for offer is hand knitted in a clover pink coloured wool/alpaca mix yarn.
It is lined in a pink cotton fabric with a little inside pocket.
It has a crocheted flower in a cream wool/alpaca mix yarn with a button centre covered in the same fabric as the lining.

The bag can of course be used as a bag but can also be used purely as a decoration.
Hung over the back of a chair or bedstead or on your dressing table to hold your bits and pieces.
Or on a door handle with a cute teddy peeping out!

Anyhow the bag can be yours to do as you wish simply by leaving a comment on this post.
Just to make it interesting let me know what your favourite Spring flower is.
Comments close on Sunday 28th March at midnight, British Summer Time.
I’ll pick and post the winners name next Monday 29th March.
Looking forward to hearing from you!!! 🙂

Thank you, the Spring Giveaway is now closed.

What a lovely give away, the bag is so pretty and lovely.
I think I have to say that my favourite Spring flower is the Hyacinth. They look delightful, with their tightly packed flowers, and smell exquisit, I adore the smell of Hyacinths, and even have a Hyacinth perfume which I love to wear. xxxxx

Thats a very pretty bag are you sure you want to give it away! I’m not sure I could if it was mine, lol.
I think my favourite spring flower has to be Muscari. The little bobbly blue flowers remind me of the blue bobbly liquorice allsorts!

That bag is sooo lovely, please count me in for the giveaway! My favourite springtime flower has got to be the simple yet very striking daffodil, but oh what about the gorgeous bluebell, now you’ve got me wondering! I’ll stick with the daffodil, the warmth they exude from my vintage jug is lovely on a spring morning!

Lovely bag!!

I love tulips, especially parrot tulips and always in nice bright colours but I am also partial to a bluebell wood for Spring walks, we have one near the family farm in Yorkshire and it comes to life when carpeted in bluebells.

Hello, Just stumbled upon your blog. I’d love to be entered into the giveaway.
My fav flowers have to be hyacinths, they just have such a gorgeous scent. A friend gave me a pot with 3 in which are on my windowsill now giviing off that wonderful aroma.
The detail on the bag is fab, I’d love to have it hanging on my door!

Just found you for the first time and I am right there with you being a little afraid of all this blog stuff! It might just be my age and not having grown up with all the technology of computers. I am trying to get more comfortable with it as I see all the wonderful things on it. So, hurray for you in stepping out and trying something new! My favorite flower is the tulip. I love your little bag!

Kelly March 25, 2010 - 4:03 pm

I love the bag…it is adorable! My very favorite flower is the Daisy in all its shapes, sizes and colors, but yesterday, while at the zoo with seven out of eight of our children and three grandchildren, we were all mesmerized by the daffodils. They were delightfully pretty and bright despite a weekend snow and ice storm. A good lesson in bouncing back. Congratulations! Your blog is lovely. ~Kelly
