Home flowers springtime sunshine

Oh my what a beautiful week it has been, lots and lots of spring sunshine!!

I walked into town one day, via ‘my park’ and I have to say the park is looking beautiful in the sunshine, lots of long tree shadows.

Springtime Park Collage

Lots of little crocuses around trees, blue skies and green grass. Actually some of that green grass above is the cricket green, you can just see the pavilion in the background in the top left photo, it won’t be long until the cricketers are out there playing in their whites, another good sign for happy sunshiny days.

I took this photo in my craftroom on Wednesday morning of the sun streaming in through the window.

Springtime Garden Collage

The garden is looking good in the sunshine too, the flowering currant is about to bloom, there are still lots of daffodils and bursting buds everywhere! The bottom photo is my dicentra and you can almost watch it grow!!

I’m still working at my springtime bunnies, this is the second one who I have named Beatrix after the best bunny author ever! She has a Peter Rabbit fabric skirt and a blue cardie the colour of Peter’s jacket which is fastened with a cute little bunny button.
The blocks, by the way, are by the clever Chipper Nelly.
It will be two years on Saturday since I made my first little bunny, Lavender Rose and Beatrix is bunny number 94, that turned out well, didn’t it!! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I do hope, if you’re in the northern hemisphere, that you too have been getting some spring sunshine, it does feel good. Fingers crossed that it continues into the weekend.

Thanks for dropping by, I do appreciate your visits and lovely comments.

Happy weekend! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Vivienne

Your park is lovely in the misty sunshine, but your garden seems to be just a week or so ahead of ours. Our witch hazel is just finishing, our corkscrew hazel is just bursting into bloom and the daffodils are out. Things are looking good.

Your craft room looks lovely, I love your big wooden spools. And your new friend Beatrix is very nice too. Hazel and I always had a soft spot for Peter Rabbit!

Have a lovely weekend,

Lovely, sunny photos Vivienne :0)
2 years of making your wonderful bunnies – you must be so thrilled. It’s been a pleasure to see them all.
Friends,& family have been encouraging me to set up shop and sell some of the things I’ve been making. I think I’d like to take the plunge, but I’ve been scared off slightly with all the CE marking etc.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend my friend.

What a Lovely, Sunny post. Doesn’t the Park look happy? We are fighting our way into spring here in the middle US, but it seem to be slow in coming this year. I keep watching for buds and blooms, but I think the cold is holding them off for just a while longer.
Miss Potter is one of my favorite authors and conservationists! Love seeing a little bunny in her honor! 94! My Goodness!

Mia March 14, 2014 - 8:05 pm

Dear Vivienne,

I know I repeat myself (a lot! always!) but I said in my comment when I saw the first ever bunny-beauty of yours something like “these will be a big hit” – and look where did they take you? You’re the official bunny-queen, and I love the idea you making just what you love – that’s the best, really!

Lovely, springly post – I love the blooming nature around yours. And Beatrix is a real sweetheart too, I think the spring-bunnies will be my all time favorites, it must be those colors (read: pink)!

Have a wonderful weekend, dear friend, sunny- and bunny-filled!

I only started following blogs last Septemberish! How did I manage before then? I absolutely adore your rabbits and always pop in to see your latest bunny creation. Congratulations on your 94th, she’s adorable. Love all the spring posts, it’s been a bit of a mixed bag here on Merseyside – fog, sunshine and cloudy. However, the daffs are out in the garden and the cherry blossom trees are starting to bloom so spring is definitely on its way:) Have a lovely creative week.
Best wishes,

Linda S
