The weather has been wonderful over the past few days, just the way I like it, hot, sunny and no rain. It’s great being outside for most of the time and wonderful that its light until almost 11 o’clock in the evenings. If I could freeze time it’s at this point of the year I would do it!
This past weekend we paid a visit to Sir Thomas & Lady Dixon Park, the last time we visited I blogged about it here, that was during Rose Week, it is a bit early for some of the roses yet with many still to bloom but there were plenty of other pretties around especially in the walled garden.
Today has been another beautiful day and I have spent quite a bit of time in the garden, among………………
the cornflowers……….
and poppies……….
and roses!
Not so much gardening today though, I’ve been bunny making in the sunshine.
These are the latest two ‘June Girls’…….Lola and Edith!
I’ve also been joined in the garden by a little sprite. I was lucky enough to win this little cutie in a giveaway over at Simone’s lovely blog. Thanks Simone!
So I believe we are to get more sunshine tomorrow, I’ll certainly not be complaining if we do!
Have a great week! ๐

Hello lovely Vivienne! This flowery, sunny, bunny-filled post has given me a brief respite from my day (you know about that from facebook). What a joy it is to see those foxgloves. They always make me think of Little Grey Rabbit stories. So charming. But not as charming as your adorable bunnies;
Hi V, it’s just a lovely time of year isn’t it and I see from the weather forecasts you are having a super display of sun whereas it’s cloudy over here in the east ๐ please send some this way ๐ Gorgeous new bunnies x
Gorgeous flowers, I love those foxgloves with the blue sky behind them especially! Such a beautiful place to visit, especially on a lovely sunny day. Your two new bunnies are so adorable…..love the names Lola and Edith too ๐

AND beautiful bunnies and sprite, too. Anne D.T.
Ooh! I do love a walled garden, there’s just something about those warm brick walls. Hope the sun’s still shining on you x
Glad you’re enjoying the sunshine V ๐ As you know, I struggle a bit with it, we had school sports day and after a hot and sunny morning, thankfully it clouded over a bit, otherwise it’s like some form of torture for kids and parents so spent that long out on the field in full heat. I think I need to relax more, and make the most of our short summer, clearly that’s my problem, I should be sitting outside with a cool drink and a good book, not trying to work ๐ Lovely bunnies! Bethx
I am looking at the beautiful photos again and again, thank you Vivienne. Love the bunnies with the gorgeous colours.Lola and Edith names I like very much Sun light to 11pm dark at 5 pm here. Enjoy your lovely Summer Vivienne. Elizabeth x x

Hi Vivienne, Lola and Edith are so sweet! Ahh…..your bunnies are the best! And the flowers in your garden and in the Park are just stunning. I have been admiring the foxglove in our forest. So many this year! We even had one pop up in our yard which made me quite pleased. Happy Summer to you! xo Karen
I love walled gardens, I always think of The Secret Garden :0)
I must try and get a yellow rose and one of those pretty white irises for my own garden – so pretty.
A big hello to Lola & Edith. You’ve chosen lovely names for your June girls :0)
Hope you’re still enjoying all this wonderful sunshine – the garden is the perfect place to enjoy it.
xx
Beautiful flowers, Vivienne,
I am a big fan of roses, and peonies are on my wish-list for the future, but those cornflowers are simply fantastic too! Your garden looks stunning – and the new bunny-gals are so sweet too. Happy sun-crocheting!
Yours,
Mia
