Home animals twenty facts

Spring wouldn’t be spring without a ‘blossom and blue sky’ photo, would it!

If you look closely I even managed to capture a jet too.

There is a ‘tag’ doing the rounds on Instagram at the moment where you are asked to give twenty facts about yourself so that everyone finds out a little more about you.

Having taken part in it on IG I thought it might be fun to share it here on the blog too.

Apologies to any blog friends who are also IG friends and have heard it all before.

1. I’ve been married for almost 34 years (to the same man 😉 ).

2. I have two amazing grown-up children, a son and a daughter and now a lovely son-in-law too.

3. I have been a full time mum for most of my life but before kids I worked in a bank. I hated it, there is nothing creative about banking!

4. I have always loved numbers, maths was my favourite subject at school. This was probably how I ended up in a bank and also why I love amigurumi crochet so much, lots of counting!

5. I’m a committed vegetarian, I believe all animals have a right to a long happy life.

6. I abhor cruelty to animals.

7. I love flowers especially sunflowers.

8. Green is my favourite colour.

9. Rabbits are my favourite animals.

10. 8 + 9 = how I got my name.

11. I’m a chocoholic!

12. I’m brutally honest, a good friend once said I was honest to the point of bluntness!

13. I could quite happily eat pasta every day.

14. I couldn’t live without mascara or handcream.

15. Raspberry Beret by Prince is my favourite song.

16. Apart from my home, my most favourite place to be is the south of France.

17. I’m left-handed.

18. I believe that The Lion King is the best film ever.

19. I love Springtime.

20. My garden is my sanctuary.

I’m sure there are a few things in there that you already knew about me but it was a bit of fun to do.

Maybe some of you reading this would like to join in too!

All the photos in this post are of what has been going on in my garden and craft room today.

Thanks as always for dropping by and for all your much appreciated comments, enjoy the rest of your week! 🙂

Hello dear Vivienne,

Lovely reading these facts, and I for sure did not know all of them – that bank-career was definitely a new, and I needed to youtube that favorite song of yours too 🙂 Thank you so much for sharing! I know your garden is your sanctuary, and we are heading to its best time, someone just said the other day “only 10 weeks to Mid Summer” – is it really???

Have wonderful April days, dear friend, and happy bunnying in sunny (hopefully) garden!

Enjoyed reading your post – I too have lived with the same man (not yours!) for 34 years, have two grown children, and I love rabbits, and your rabbits, chocolate and flowers. I love your cat. Your picture of pure white blossom is beautiful. Have a lovely weekend in your garden. Pat x

Hi Vivienne, your 20 facts made an otherwise dull journey to work on the London Underground this morning very cheery! I love hearing interesting things about other people. I ended up composing my own list for fun and it kept me entertained for the rest of the journey. Hope you get some lovely sunny weather this weekend in my beautiful homeland. Julia xx

I love these random bits of information, somehow you do learn a bit more about a person. I enjoyed yours.

What a lovely blog i met my husband when he was 16 and i 19 we are now 61 and nearly 65 we have 4 children 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren with another great grandaughter due in june. I love flowers especially the bleeding heart i have also one of these in full bloom at the moment i have 2 cats and 3 dogs and love my holidays in Donegal where my husband is from roll on end of may xx

HI Vivienne, well that was an interesting read for the bits I didn’t know 🙂 left handed eh! I like left handers, my OH is one, although does get a bit superior about it at times. Can I be an honorary left hander as I use scissors and craft knives in my left, it was one of those weird things my grandparents taught me for some reason. All other stuff I do with the right. The numbers and the maths thing is a big clue to your success with knit and crochet and I’m rubbish with numbers which explains a lot of my messy badly counted crochet projects. I just counted, I’ve pretty much got 8 of those in common with you, what fun, enjoyed that. xx
