Happy Valentine’s Day!
Not being the most romantic person in the world, Valentine’s Day usually means sweets and chocolates to me rather than love. What with Pancake Tuesday and Valentines Day all falling in the one week this year it has been quite a treat filled few days!!!
I must say though I did receive some of my favourite perfume from my Hb!
What a lovely day it is today after what has been a quite grey, wet and cold period, today is bright and the temperature is quite pleasant.
My little primula are very happy indeed!
I’m still waiting for some of my garden bulbs to bloom though, I’m sure I had some out before this time last year.
I was very lucky this week to receive this pretty little brooch which I won in a giveaway. It was made by the talented Claire Garland from Dot Pebbles! If you love little knitted animals and toys you’ll love Claire’s blog, I have actually been very lucky on Claire’s blog because a few weeks back I was also lucky enough to win this beautiful pattern too. Claire has written quite a few books which you can find here. You can also find her here, here and here.
I’m fortunate in that as my name begins with ‘V’ it means I can wear my little brooch all year round and not just on Valentine’s Day!
I’ve finished my fourth and final Valentine girl, for this year anyway.
Her name is Aimee which is from the French je-taime (I love you) and means beloved friend, quite appropriate don’t you think.
Well, as I started with some sweeties for Valentines Day, I thought I’d finish with some too!!
Have a lovely rest-of-the-week and a wonderful weekend, thanks as always for all your visits and encouraging comments!
And again Happy Valentine’s Day !!! 🙂

Aimee looks very sweet – fits very well with your sweetie pictures! For us today has been about walking along the prom together followed by a coffee. As a special treat (bearing in mind the skirt) there was also a small almond biscuit.
Have a lovely weekend Vivienne and let’s hope the weather stays spring-like.

Happy Valentine’s day Vivienne, I got a sweet card from my Hb but he doesn’t do flowers so it is a meal out instead! Your photos are very cheerful and sunny and Aimee is just lovely. Enjoy your evening…..I’m just about to head out now. Happy weekend when we get there, Jane x
Your Valentine’s girl looks very sweet Vivienne! Have a lovely evening!

One Valentine’s Day my aunt, who lives in Paris, saw her husband (imagine a distracted scientist) getting off at the bus stop just opposite their appartment, walking into the main entrance of their building and then walking out a few minutes later, muttering to himself, walking in to the florists next door and coming out with a single red rose! So sweet to see romance alive even when in your eighties. Either that or he was scared of her wrath should he forget 🙂
I love sweetheart sweets, primulas dressing up as fried eggs, Dot Pebbles’ style (so vintage and sweet). But most of all I love Aimée!
Yummy sweets, a delightful bunny and a cute new blog – wonderful as ever! Maggie

What a sweet little bunny… sooo cute! 🙂
Happy Valentines Day to you and to Aimee, so pleased you got chocolate .. who needs romance when you can have chocolate 😉

Lots of lovely Valentine goodness here Vivienne. Aimee is very pretty.
What a sweetie Aimee is 🙂 Happy weekend! xo K.
Hi Vivienne, this week has been all about food for me too, pancake day coincided with my birthday so cake and pancakes was the order of the day and then valentines, which we don’t do, coincided with a friend taking me for lunch to our fave veggie eaterie. What a lovely name for the little love bunny! Have a good weekend x
It sounds like you had a lovely day. I bought my husband a jar of (valentine themed) sweets and chocolates, so that’s what I think of on Valentine’s day too!
How sweet Aimee is, I especially love her adorable little cardi! Love all your sweet pictures…don’t you just love reading the new up to date messages on Love Hearts?? And those chocolates….mmmmm. Hope you had a very happy Valentine’s Day, and wishing you a wonderful weekend!

It looks as though your Valentine’s Day was perfect in every way Vivienne.
Blue sky, pretty flowers, chocolate and a lovely blog win.
Miss Aimee is delightful. I love her dress of course and the clever way you even added hearts to her cardigan.
Happy weekend!
Ooh, Love Hearts … I have eaten one of those in a loooooong time. Sweet Aimee looks as if she’d like Love Hearts, and Crêpes Suzette … it was clearly her kind of week too 😉
Aimee is lovely and Happy ‘V’ day to you! We don’t celebrate either, but this year I complained, so I go flowers AND chocolates – lucky me 😉 Bethx
