I took these photos of poppies earlier this year while on holiday in the south of France. I think I always knew when I would share them with you, even when I was taking them and that would be today ~ Armistice Day.
I would like to dedicate this post to all those courageous men and women who gave their lives for our freedom during two World Wars and in all conflicts right up to the present day. To all those who have suffered horrific injuries due to war and who are still suffering and also to all those brave men and women who still serve.

Lovely post, and dedication, xox
A very poignant post and the poppy pictures are beautiful
Well said, my sentiments exactly, we owe such a lot to these people.
Happy Weekend Vivienne x
Yes, Vivienne,
I have a lump in my throat.
I am constantly in awe of those who live and have lived such atrocities in their everyday lives whilst the rest of us are entitled to peace and ‘normality’.
Thank you for marking this occasion. My father, 89 now, was a commando in Yugoslavia and got shot down during WWII. After twenty-four hours of bleeding to death in a field he was saved by a peasant woman…. the rest is history.
He was fortunate. Others were not.
Lovely photos 🙂
Quite so!

I couldn’t agree more.
Peaceful and relaxing weekend, dear Vivienne!
Yours,
Mia
Well said Vivienne! x
Beautifully put, Vivienne. And your poppy photos from France are beautiful too…..you saved them for just the right day.

Here here Vivienne, it is very important to remember them. Sadly more join the list to remember each year. War is such a waste of human life……
The poppy photos are beautiful.
Have a lovely weekend and “see you next week”

Very well said Vivienne, such a poignant day, I can’t help but get a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes when I think of all the people who have lost their lives fighting and for all those still serving. Makes you appreciate life all the more. Have a lovely weekend xxx
