Home bags Wet Wednesday

As you can see from the little primula in the window box on my dining room window it’s been a bit damp around these parts today! Very mild but grey and damp.

So what does one get up to on a wet Wednesday. Well aside from the boring things and I have to say there have been way too many boring things to do today for my liking!

I have been finishing up a new bag and some new corsages.

No sooner have I finished something and sometimes (almost always) even before it’s finished I’m planning what I’m going to do next! So I have been having a play with some yarn and fabric and beads to see what I come up. I just wish my hands could work as fast as my head (and I didn’t have any boring things to do).

And just in time for dinner, I managed to get a Lemon Drizzle Cake baked. It was still warm when we had a slice after our meal, warm and sticky and lemony (obviously)!

So despite the boring I did manage to fit in a little playtime.

Happy Wednesday, hope yours wasn’t too wet and thanks for visiting.
Slice of cake anyone? 🙂

Yes a slice of cake would be very acceptable thank you! Miserable day here today, too. What happened to that Spring you mentioned?

I love that top photo of the raindrops on the petals – worth a little rain just for that! Enjoy that cake.

oooh I love lemon drizzle, bet it was lovely and lush as it was still warm.
Drizzly cake and drizzly weather here too but I hear Thurs should be promising so I’m popping out.
Do you have any Cath Kidston purchases to share with us from last week?

Good morning Vivienne, it’s fine mild Thursday here… hope it is with you? Your boring Wednesday looked pretty fab to me ;0) Yummy cake. I am just dashing to put some washing out as it’s going to hit 16c today and then off to take my Mum shopping to look for a wedding outfit! Have a great day my friend,

Here I am once more. I was here for the first time and just wanted to say that I love your blog. Some photos are really fantastic (like those of your cats and your Kaffe Fasset work). Nice meeting you too! 🙂

Deeelicious cake! Lemon drizzle is the best kind of drizzle! I hope the rain has stopped now where you are and that it’s sunny today, as it is here! I liked seeing your lovely fabric and beads in this post too 🙂

Yes please, dear, if there’s any left 😉 and I wouldn’t mind a day like that, sounds fun and creative and also productive as you finished something, too – I often get sidetracked with my work… Pretty flowers, too!

Happy Thursday – and oh, it’s AGAIN weekend soon!

Hi Vivienne, well I’m very late at commenting on this post so hopefully those grey rainclouds have blown away now! We’ve had lovely weather today but whilst the whole of the rest of the UK seemingly had beautiful sunshine on Thursday and Friday too, here it was miserable and overcast. Glad we have finally joined in the sunshine 🙂 Loving your new little flower corsages on today’s post, the purple and yellow colours also remind me of little crocuses, perfect for Spring! You have a very cute photograhy assistant too 😉 Enjoy the rest of the weekend xx
