Today is the Chinese New Year and my attention has been drawn to it this year because 2011 is ‘the year of the rabbit’! Now anyone who knows me well will know that it’s always ‘the year of the rabbit’ in my house!
I adore rabbits and I have them dotted all over the house!
Family and friends have bought me many different rabbits over the years and I have bought myself one or two as well. 😉
I reckon 2011 should be a good year if the rabbits are in charge! 🙂
Well this is my fourth post in as many days, I seem to have plenty to say (or waffle on about) this week!!!
Have a great weekend everyone, thanks again for dropping in and I’ll see you all next week! 🙂

I like the glass rabbits best. I used to collect pigs but I’m not very good at dusting so I stopped!
I didn’t know it was the year of the Rabbit Vivienne, how lucky for you! As you well know I am the avid pig collector although mine tend to be in one main cabinet; I call it my pig sty!I love your glass rabbit too.

It is going to be a good year for you!! I have a rabbit that I put out every Easter and he is my favorite. He is ceramic but looks like a chocolate bunny, I’m afraid if he was chocolate he wouldn’t last long in this house.
These are sooo sweet, love them! 🙂
I love your rabbit collection. I think you’d like me because I AM A RABBIT!!! What I mean is that I was born in the year of the rabbit, so hopefully this will be a good year for me! I hope it is an exceptionally good year for you too! x
I love the two white ones, and Peter posting a letter. It’s a lovely collection Vivienne. Are there any special stories behind any of them?
Wishing you a very lovely weekend.

I am a big fan of the rabbit also. My collection got so massive I had to move to a bigger house. (Just kidding, sort of) I know we are going to have the BEST YEAR EVER! I love the one who is reading. 🙂
They are all so adorable. I particularly love the two white ones.

Happy Year of the Rabbit! I love rabbits too – (in fact I’ve just been sewing one this morning!) though I don’t have as many as you have collected – mine are more of the stitchy kind! I especially loved seeing Peter Rabbit posting the letter, with the little robin there too. Have a happy weekend. Helen x
Hi! I love your rabbit collection. I love rabbits too. We use to have two mini-lop rabbits and one dwarf bunny. They were so sweet and lived a pretty long life, but those days of bunnies are over. I like the collectable now. My favorite of your’s is the peter rabbit mailing the letter and the Robin. My granddaughters are half chinese so I follow the Chinese New Year and am happy it is the Rabbit!!! Lovely post have a wonderful weekend. xoRobin❤
I absolutely love the mammmy knitting rabbit 🙂 xxx
Awwww – how can anyone go wrong with such wonderful little bunnies hopping around. They do you know. In the night when nobody sees they have little rabbit parties and dances and teas. I’m especially fond of the top one. The Year of the Rabbit is sure to be a good one.
What a cute collection, Viv! It’s lovely that you’ve shown some of your rabbits to us, they’re adorable. And oh, this will be your lucky-year, dear!
Happy weekend!
Yours,
Mia
Love your warren! I have a couple of Sylvac bunnies that I’m very fond of, have you got any of those? I got them quite cheaply on eBay but they can be so expensive in antique shops these days.
Happy weekend. Xx
We love rabbits too! My 20 month old daughter calls them bop-bops and we collect rabbit children’s books.
Great to find your blog this evening – will go and read more now.
Adore you bunny collection, especially the first one.
